While I do not necessarily agree, appreciate you insight & willingness to not totally dump it all on O.

I call BS. There was no decline until Aleva hired coach O. Recruits and players have been jumping ship ever since, and it will show on the field this fall.

How?

Botched assistant hires (Canada for one, we still don't know about ensminger), shitty recruiting, losing our first home OOC game in over a decade, etc

Hindsight 20/20

A lot of people were excited for that hire and most agreed that he was a successful OC

How do you know? By star ratings? They missed out on the CB, yeah, but we don't know if that's a trend or an anomaly.

And recovering from that loss to go on an upset Auburn and finish with a 9-4 record and finishing only behind Auburn (SEC champ) and Alabama (Natl champ)

Yeah, there's bullshite already in his tenure, but don't forget that people also turned on Miles in 2005 after the Tennessee game.

Everyone knows the program was slipping but wasn’t O hired to bring it to another level? With how last year went hiring ensminger after the Canada debacle and the worst recruiting class LSU has had in a long time it doesn’t look good

What about the “clock it” game at Oxford in 2009? That was downright disgusting.

I thought Miles was fired? Why bring up a game almost ten years ago? Plus Les won the sec after 2009 and went to a championship game

Agreed, which is why Miles was fired. The problem is, they replaced him with a DL coach that was an historic failure at Ole Miss.

So we've basically had average coaching since the 2014 season.

Ok, so in November of 2015 Alleva tried to throw out a National Championship and multiple SEC Championship winning coach for less than two years of “average coaching”.

I guess that means O is squarely on the hot seat and November could be a very interesting month in Baton Rouge

I agree. It’ll be same old shite. Good to great D. Bad passing game and shitty special teams.

Considering what happened in 2017, we're basically one year away from calling it a trend. And so far it's a good chance it'll be a trend.
