Downvotes incoming because we all wanna kick Wade around. I still think Wade is a good coach though. We don’t have a lot of depth at the right positions for this team. Pinson going down threw off everything. Pinson’s injury doesn’t heal that fast, it might be a year before he realistically feels like it’s back to normal and starts playing like it.
This team could get hot again just like they were before SEC play started, just have to give em time to figure it out.

He made some good runs with talented teams, but yes he seemed to over achieve with less talented teams. He could definitely motivate. Somewhat harder to motivate teams with bigtime talent. Really though, his big failure was the early 90's with that talent. Otherwise, Wade could only hope to achieve the success of Brown. I don's see that happening. For those saying Brown wasn't great at x/o. Okay. I agree. He obviously recognized that and got some bench help. Wade might have too much ego for that, because he clearly is not a great bench coach and needs help.

Dale Brown was absolutely having players paid in the 80s and 90s. Everyone close to the program knew it, and he burned several bridges when people suggested he was getting too loose with it. He got caught red-handed because he was too self-righteous to listen to people he once considered friends.

As long as dale had an asst to handle x and o he was fine
It was when he hired all the high school coaches to get recruits is what doomed him

Brown's teams played over their heads

In Brown's last four seasons as coach of the Tigers his teams were not even competitive in SEC play, going 5-12, 6-11, 4-13 and 2-15 in SEC play. His 1993-94 team featured back-to-back games losing 119-80 at Auburn to a team that was 0-10 in SEC play to that point, followed up by a loss at home to Kentucky, featuring a blown 31 point lead. It was ugly.

How can you argue that Brown isn't far more successful than Wade? Wade may prove to be the more successful coach one day, but if you look at results there is no comparison as of this point in time. Now, if you don't use results, and just go by feelings, maybe you can justify your beliefs

He definitely had a lot of issues his last few years and was time to go. That doesn't erase what he did prior to that. To only compare his last 4 years is unfair

What was amazing is almost taking that 87 team to a final four.

Why exactly are we now making posts shitting on the most successful basketball coach we have had? Y’all are weird with this shite. It’s one thing to compare coaches, this is something else. Brown is not your enemy.

lol Wade will never take us to two national championship games.

I’d be shocked if Wade ever sniffed the Final Four

4 All Americans that is and Big Stanley had as much talent as any just Bad Wheels plagued him is whole b-ball career
Shaq & Chris Jackson(at the time) could beat any combo 2 on 2 in college 10 out of 10

Yeah, like the year he coached Shaq, Chris Jackson, and Stanley, all NBA players and 2 all stars. Don't believe you actually witnessed that. Dale Brown was the worst last 3 minute coach in America.

Shaq was often in foul trouble his freshman year, and he wasn't the scoring threat that he was his junior year.

Russian Proverb:

Tea is cursed

Coffee is twice cursed

Vodka is thrice cursed

Let me add that Dale Brown is a cancer unto it ALL….he is LSU MBB’s “proverbial albatross”, so are his contemptuous supporters! Dale Brown begone!!!
