Fired an ok head coach (Miles, Po Pelini.) and hired an unproven or mediocre head coach (O and Mike Reily).

It is in a slow state of decline until something radical happens, i.e, change in direction is needed, both at the AD and head coach level. Else it will go on for a while, a slow death spiral.

Until LSU doesn't win 8 games one year, then LSU is still a king with 8 wins a year for this entire century

Keep your dumbass up north. When's the last time that Nebraska beat a top 10 team?

Go away. Nebraska just beat a top ten team with 20+ freshmen getting snaps. Seriously people.

Pelini isn't Miles but he definitely wasn't a bad coach

Nebraska sure as hell misses him now, 9 or 10 wins were automatic every year

bo Pelini would be fortunate to be able to carry Les Miles' jock strap. Les Miles was the head coach of LSU for 10+ years. Name the Head coaches during that period that had better results than Les fricking Miles. You can likely do it on one hand with a couple of fingers to spare.

An "OK" coach. Show some fricking respect Yankee.

Are the expectations different now or do we still have not enough talent to win 9 games ? I think Saturday showed we as fans shouldn't accept the excuses that we were given. To avoid what you describe, we can't sacrifice our championship standards. If we start saying it's ok to win 7 games then we are what you described.

The guy coaches at Youngstown State. Good coaches don't go from a power 5 team to Youngstown state.....

We are so far apart from Nebraska it’s just dumb.

We could be 4-8 and quickly turn it around due to Lousiana HS talent. Nebraska relied forever on national recruiting and that died when Osborne/Solich were gone.

I am not saying he is elite but he definitely wasn't Bad.

Pretty sure Bo is from Youngstown State and wanted to be back closer to family

Mike Riley has not done a good job at Neb. but is miles ahead of O in terms of head coaching success.
