Ahhh the good ole days when LSU fans would kill to have a 3 loss season. Also, having Jamie Howard behind the center was worse than having Anthony Jennings behind center.

In Jamie's defense, he played on MUCH worse football teams.

I mean, not for nothing, but I can't even imagine what Jennings' numbers would've looked like had he played for a team that had only 130 yards per game rushing instead of the 230 LSU had last year.

Yep! My two sons were 10 and 12 years old at the time. Today, if I mention Curly Hallman they remind me of the Golden Flake commercials.

That hire was not a proud moment for LSU. Hallman couldn't coach High School football. Peter Principal at its worst.

TexTed Curley would call you out on this and tell you to meet him at his office tomorrow and settle this like men. He always wanted to fight.

As long as he didn't bring his maker Brett Favre with him, that'd be OK.

I've posted this many times but my favorite Curley quote was in reference to Eddie Kennison(in Curly Speak): "Whell, tha boy can runn." That was it. No follow on about what a great guy Kennison was.

Someone called in and asked Jordy who had the biggest dick on the team Harvey Williams or some other guy I can't remember who it was.

Caller: "between Harvey Williams and Darrell Williams... Which one would you say has the bigger cock"
Hang up.

What are their stats? They have to be pretty close.

Bruce Weber

Ah, reading these posts brings back memories.

Favorite moment was when Bruce Weber had Bob Brodhead as his guest. They started taking live questions when this brother called in asked in a low voice, "Suck my dick."

Bob Brodhead started laughing while Bruce started to fiddle with the buttons on the conference phone like something malfunctioned.

Bruce Weber was a classic. He was like that guy who couldn't hang up the phone when the dude called in a was fricking with him to no end. If someone could post that YouTube link with him trying to hang the phone up that would be awesome. lol:

I recall the commercial from the early 90's where Curley was trying to give away a Southern Miss "swagger wagon".

Edited to add: Maybe it was the late 1980's, those days blend together in memory.

was a good idea to have a call in show on live TV with no delay.

That was actually Bruce Weber and not Jordy and it was between Harvey and his brother Darrell.
