It's far from it. It's rarely "the hammer" at all.

So just let Tua sit in a clean pocket and pick us apart? They will score a TD every drive with that approach.
We only need them to fail about twice.

Pressure him and he MIGHT make a mistake. And one mistake might be the difference in that game.
Which, we, as I keep saying in here...……..have chosen to do EVERY GAME in the 2nd half.

It is clear we PLAN it this way.

And when we still win, that's a good thing.

Not at all. Playing soft allows a group to perform without much pressure. Itsgiving them yardage. UF was nowhere near perfect, but had enough opportunities to succeed.

UF dictated the pace of the game. Their game plan was stellar. But we also let them keep Burrow on the bench

The defensive game plan to start the game is pretty clear. You can disagree with the strategy, but it was clearly a strategy.

Hell, Oklahoma did a better job vs Texas.

They pummeled Ehlinger.

I'm not buying into this "soft defense is necessary" stuff.

The D plan in which you let the corners play 10 yards off the wide receivers and only rush 4 the entire first half giving the nicked up 2nd string quarterback 5 seconds to throw the ball and pick us apart? That’s not infuriating to you???

I get that. But what I am saying is that PLAN will get us beat in the one game that matters most.

LSU should never give up yards or TD's. if they do then aranda sucks.

Well it's kind of obvious that Orgeron and Aranda decided that it wasn't working well and made changes. I think they came to disagree with it too

That's really my point.

It is clear that we are concerned about a couple of our back end players and feel that we'll only get away with blitzing a handful of times a game before they're completely exposed.

So, we do it late.

Maybe some folks in here should consider the ramification of blitzing say, Bama early and them just eating the shite out of our blitzes and scoring in 3 plays due to wide the frick open people.

It’s really unfortunate that our staff evidently isn’t good enough to teach the players how to execute it properly, because they haven’t yet. Not in a single game this season. If the staff can’t get that done, then it’s a bad game plan for that fact alone.

I don't believe we will play that. We will put enough force to necessary to counter the force that we are experiencing. With enough extra to win the game. For Alabama, we will release the hounds. Healthy hounds.

Come on man.

When you "make changes" at the same time in EVERY game...…...it's pretty fricking clear that is THE STRATEGY from the get go.

What? You think they don't like doing it that way in the 1st half for one game, then, forget and, and do it the same way 6 straight games?

Without the refs Florida scores at least 11 points less. I doubt anyone bitches about allowing Florida 17.

I did note that he brought in a different package on third and long that gave up several third and long plays. Not sure what the story is there.

So you think forcing Stevens and Vincent to stay in coverage for 5-7 seconds while Tua has all day in a clean pocket is better?

I get the risk in blitzing. But is it really better than letting a guy like Tua play with no pressure.

Pressure might force a game changing mistake. We know he won’t make a mistake without pressuring him.

I don’t think they are. It’s an exaggeration. But still, at some point, someone on the staff has to recognize that zone isn’t working and make some adjustment to put the players in situations where they will succeed. We haven’t succeeded at zone at any point this season. Please try to demonstrate otherwise. I’ll be waiting.

I got in this conversation late, but that isn't what I was picking up from his earlier posts.
