Oh boy, now we get to hear how aranda and brady/ensminger weren't that great
I don’t believe they were great enough to carry LSU on their own in 2019 and I don’t see how what they’ve done since then disproves that.

ETA: no one had read the part of my previous post that said O quit after 2019. I’m not defending or claiming anything about Coach O’s abilities after 2019.

Coach Aranda has not been a world beater at Baylor, Brady is doing well now, but got fired from his first gig after LSU. None of them recruited any of the offensive talent that LSU had in 2019.

It’s just my opinion (this subject matter comes up a lot) that Coach O was better than and more involved than just mumbling Geaux Tigers and hiring good assistants. His teams weren’t terrible before then. After 2019, he lost his fire and started mailing it in.

We’ve all seen it. Someone finally gets promoted and then they become a gravy trainer as opposed to the arse kicker that they had been.

I don't hate Coach O. I never even demanded he be fired after 2 losing seasons. And he will always be the HC of the greatest college football team ever but this constant whining about wishing we had coach O back speaks to the unrealistic expectations of Orgeron. He is not a program builder and he is not a program maintainer , He was in the right place at the right time but his 2 years after that 2019 season speak more to who he was than 2019. It's why they wouldn't keep him at USC even though he was respectable as interim coach but once again inherited talent and he couldn't do anything at Ole Miss his 3 years there. Where as Kelly has rebuilt the programs at every stop he has made and built them into championship contenders. 2 different levels. So speaking the truth about Coach O is not hate. It is fact. But he will always have 2019.

Not reading that.

Like Les, don’t hate him glad he is gone. Left the program in the dumpster.

Exactly, he was the defensive line coach for the coach that was fired and was very opportunistic in the moment and some have even said he helped to create that moment, but I certainly can't confirm that.

But, he was who he was, a recruiter and motivator....credit both he and Ensminger for realizing they needed to do something on offense to maximize what they had and hiring Brady to do that. But IMHO, what happened after that showed the cracks and the inherent weaknesses that were always there.

Im not disillusioned that any of these guys are saints but O has a white knight contingent of people that still believe he’s a man that gave this school and state everything because he loved it so much, he just fell short due COVID/whores/BLM or whatever bullshite excuse they want to use

He failed because he’s a shite HC that stole the job because he was able to convince one of the worst AD’s in the history of collegiate sports that hiring him for peanuts and rolling that savings into hiring smarter coordinators than him was a great idea.

I don’t hate him at all? For whatever reason, he Coached the best team that LSU has ever put on the field and brought home a NC. Period. Thanks, CEH!

a) i'm not young
b) 2019 was insanely awesome, he gets much due around her3 for that year
c) everything after that, frick O for losing his shite and the program, he is the blame for our 39 man roster
d) he's a distant relative of mine, but still see C.

What's the over/under on this board demanding Kelly be fired and O brought back? 3rd quarter or 4th quarter of the Clemson game?

It actually worked out shockingly well until 2020 when it came crashing down. O was a shite HC at Ole Miss and I couldn't believe we hired him, but he didn't steal the job. Les got Les fired. Dude was ignoring LSU's orders to stay away from young coeds after multiple harassment complaints. And he was getting blown out by Arkansas and Ole Miss in addition to Bama at that point. He had a good run, but he got himself fired. Nothing to do with O. He apparently just has good sales skills.

No, he stole it in a very obvious PR campaign. Joe Alleva was apparently the only one that didn’t see the scam in real time.

Well, Aranda was O's former boss and had been running the defense already. I'm not sure what O added to the defense after becoming HC that wasn't there already.

So, that leaves the offense, and we know O wasn't an offensive guy. I'm not really sure what he added there either from an Xs and Os perspective that accounted for the offensive explosion.

chavis defense and jarett fricking Lee saved that mfers job in 2010
lol what?

For the season, Jarrett Lee threw for 573 yards, 2 TD, 1 INT, on 60.7% passing, with 10 carries for -46 yards. In what world was Jarrett Lee the savior of that team?

Defense was incredible, and Jefferson was meh throwing the ball, but had his best season as a rusher.

Special teams, something Les harped on, was probably LSU's best unit in 2010.

Jarrett Lee didnot play in this game.

Thank Terrence Tolliver.

Lee had a couple of good throws, but Jefferson scored one of 2 LSU touchdowns that day.

you have to understand that there are a lot of fake baws out here who gave their balls to their women at some point and hate Coach O for all the PC approved reasons.
