It's a classic case of whiners trying to have their cake and eat it too. The only reason LSU football games are as fun as they are is because of the environment created by the students. Without them, it's just another NFL game atmosphere.

The people whining about the bad language have no problem mooching off of the great atmosphere created by the rowdy students. Heaven forbid they actually have to overhear some of that spirit for a few seconds every game.

You can SMTDB.

Whats your next orchestrated chant? Oh thats right, you dont have one. Thats because you will wait for the next one to be organized and then join in like sheep you are. I bet you are decked out head to toe in Hollister

I've got a 2 year old, when I take him in a few years and people are cussing around him, I may ask them to tone it down a bit. But I probably won't, I'll probably tell my son that this is an example of a time when this kind of behavior is acceptable.

Whoa

No exposure hurts recruiting and then back to mediocrity...or worse

yea they are going to yank a top rated team off of tv. they would just add a longer delay/ move the mics away from the student section.

This.

My 53 year old self has been kicked out of many colleges over the years. They all had irreverant chants in football, basketball and baseball. Get over it old people (old in mind only). STTDB!!!! HaHaHaHaHa!!!!

If this is the worst thing I'm doing around my son then I may very well be the father of the year.

I'm sure you are much better though

Texas Tiger,
We have no clue what else you do around your child, but I wouldn't come to this board seeking awards for exemplary parenthood.
Who knows?
Harvey Updyke may have had an SEC parent just like you, dedicated to the expression of vulgar, drunken, SEC passion for his team!

You set a great example with pictures of titty grabs while telling people they shouldn't cuss.

We'll all just take your word for it though.

Jesus, when did I do this?

You people are insufferable. You keep bringing up this SEC argument against me, I never mentioned it to begin with. Go ahead and whine every time you take your kid to a game, I don't care. People will cuss, it will bother you, but you'll still pay to go to the games. So really, what difference does it make?

And honestly, if you don't go it still won't matter. There are plenty of people waiting in line for tickets that would be happy to take them off your hands. If you're giving them away for free I'll take them.

Apparently cussing is the bottom of the barrel activity among Tiger fans. We are all scumbags for using words you don't approve of.

Texas Tiger,
I don't think you are a "scumbag for using words [I] don't approve of."

I think you are immature and aggressively ignorant.

Oh, so it is ok to call people retards, but cussing is out of line?

Got it.

I've never heard it on TV. Most of the country has no clue.

I say again, showing a stadium shot of a top 5 football team with a two touchdown half time lead in a conference game where half the fanbase is gone already to "beat the traffic" is far worse than students yelling a vulgar chant.

Perhaps all you people who dont like STTDB should stick around til the end of the game?

ElPrez,
Tell me how you've concluded that the people who disapprove of the chant leave the stadium early.
Besides, how does this somehow cause the language to be anything other than lame, immature and vulgar?
Is there ANYTHING cute, witty, amusing or otherwise redeeming about it? Most stadium chants at least rhyme ...

I don't even yell the damn chant. I just don't think it matters that much.

Let the students have their fun, as aggressively ignorant as it may be. It really is not hurting anyone.

They aren't throwing piss balloons or oranges. They aren't killing opponents mascots or traditions. They are yelling something in the stands that, when I first heard it, I had to ask people around me what in the world they were saying.
