I'm over it. The HC needs to be competent to handle one side of the ball game. The CEO approach makes hiring twice as crucial and destroys year to year consistency. Plus, we pay our CEO coach like an elite x's and o's guy. Let's not do this again.

It works if the head coach gets the right Coordinators and isn’t stubborn and doesn’t have a massive ego.

That's not a sustainable business model

I'd like to not have to worry about competence on one side of the ball each year.

This thing about some schools not having to worry about one side of the ball is completely false.

So you want a head football coach that is wishy-washy and flits from one idea to the next without settling on one?

You want some shy and retiring little flower for a head football coach?

Like maybe Nick Saban who fits all of your classifications, right?

You people know nothing, you just spout out dated slogans and believe you are intelligent.

The CEO Head Coaching Model

I agree with you

Lets follow the model that all the schools in the NCAA that have not won championships the last 20 years.

Bama 5
LSU 3
Multiple teams with 2

You guys look where we are

go find the model other than BAMA, we are 2nd

What? Which side of the ball does Clemson not have to worry about?

And it’s kind of hypocritical to claim Golding is horrible and the reason their defense isn’t good, while also claiming Saban is the brains and holding down that side of the ball. Which is it?

Sure, Ryan Day still calls plays. But he’s also never been a head coach until last year. That likely won’t last longer.

Dabo has never been a coordinator and neither had Urban. Neither “holds down” a side of the ball.

That’s half the problem. The OT 10 Unicorn who dumped you bought the house across the street. Sure you’ve been knocking down some OT 8.5’s but everyday you walk outside there she is right across the street.

A grown arse man who hits themesleves in the jaw, rips his shirt off, takes selfie-boos in bed with hos 20 years younger is not looking very professional this juncture. Love the guy for his emotion, but he needs to act like the head coach of a blue blood football program.
