The biggest mistake didn’t occur last night, it occurred when Coach BK didn’t retain Corey Raymond. If he’s still here I don’t believe we are going to Syracuse looking for help in the secondary.

Is it though?

We definitely need to recruit better in the secondary in all positions

Raymond is a huge reason we are in the mess we are in.

Have you looked at Florida since he got there?

You could argue the state of the secondary is largely due to Raymond’s recruiting. BK and staff have had one class. Hard to say they've failed when last night would have been those guys’ first college game.

Have you looked at the DB recruiting at FLA since he’s been there? Raymond isn’t the issue there.

Have you looked at what he recruited in his last few years? Absolute shite show with zero development. Awfully convenient of you to suggest FL secondary sucking donkey dick has nothing to do with the DB coach

Yes, and that wasn’t the issue. It was players transferring out after the coaching change.

And he only got one quality season out of each of them. Everyone else was either a miss or a project, at least half of which didn’t pan out. Remember Raydar Jones

Raymond’s top recruits

Stingley: 1 stellar season
Kevin Toliver: Bust
Eli Ricks: Bust
Jacoby Stevens: didn’t live up to expectations, but a great tiger
kayshon Boutte: injury set him way back
Kristian Fulton: stud

Then you’re looking at players like Mcglothern, Welch, Robinson, McGhee. All kinds of suckage

I think Raymond was a good recruiter while here but all those years of broken coverage and dbs throwing their hands up not knowing what they were supposed to be doing was enough for me. I do think we need more coaching turnover there now. We are not developing or recuiting dbs at cb or safety, not up to LSU standards. We bring in decent prospects from high school and for some reason we never see them. Where the hell is Allen, Toviano, Welch, Davis-Robinson, Jackson, Yaites, Stamps, Hughes? Best we could field is undersized/slow cbs from syracuse and southeastern and move Sage Ryan who isnt really a CB

Are you serious here? He'd be our starting CB right now if he were here. He posted better numbers last year than any of our CBs

tackles (52), interceptions (4), forced fumbles (2), fumbles recovered (1) and passes defended (10)

Do you remember people running wide open constantly in 2020 and 2021? That was Raymond coaching them. His lack of recruiting is why we’ve had to hit the portal hard in the secondary every year during the BK era.
