This entire dam thread is PROOF that no matter how you slice it, WE TRULY ARE THE REAL UNPRECEDENTED DBU!!!!!!!! That being said my vote goes to Peterson and Stingley (post 2021 season btw). Vote early and often baws!!!!!!!

it's astonishing that whenever there's a conversation about great lsu cb's, hookfin always gets mentioned. he's seriously a legend. if you wanted a player who couldn't cover anyone, he was the greatest of all time
Hookfin had some memorable plays where he got burned but the dude was 2nd team all sec with some good DB’s behind him. Pretty sure he was a starter for 3 years. May have been 2.
He wasn’t great but he wasn’t as bad as everyone makes him out to be.
2002 Corners
Corey Webster -1st team All SEC
Travis Daniels
Ronnie Prude
Randall Gay
Demetrius Hookfin- 2nd team All SEC

PP7 and it’s not close. He was top 5 player in the country while at LSU. With that said, we have been graced with some great ones. Tre white definitely needs to be up there. Rashard Robinson, Travis Daniels, and Jonathan Zenon are some other really good ones to add to your list

Stingley and Webster. Don’t argue this shyt!!

I’ll take Webster and PP7. Mo had great numbers because teams threw to his side in 2010 to avoid Peterson and to avoid TM7 in 2011

Petersen and Casanova. Craig Burns was a safety. Casanova would have made the pro football HOF if he did not retire so early in his career.

Peterson had cramps half of the big moments during his career here.

Stingley may become the best of the bunch, but he had it taken to him in the Bama game by Smith and it wasn’t just that one play he looked away.
Florida took it to him as well.

I've seen you post this before. how did Webster "solely" lose either of those games? he wasn't covering the WR who caught the game winner in either game.
He was deep thirds against Iowa and the pass was caught on his side of the field. Against Arkansas, as you wrote, he gave up the bomb with seconds left in the game, and the TD was completed on his side of the field against zone defense.

Also, Tyrann Mathieu played some corner
Tyrann was a corner at LSU. He was not a safety.

He will get unfairly knocked for the Bama game. He had a bad game there, no doubt. Some people bring up Florida but he had one poor drive and he sealed the game with a pick so if that’s his second worst game, then damn.
I agree with your arguments if we are arguing was Stingley great last year. We are not. We are arguing was he the greatest LSU corner of all time. To get that honor you have to have zero bad games.

Cassanova played safety, not cornerback.
