9-3.

I’d be happy with 10-2 and a NY6. If we do 1 better than this year I’ll go easier on O, but as it stands now I’m not at all sold on him. Should I be?

In what world is the jury still out on a head coach who's averaged over 10 through 8 seasons and has a national title?

Actually it’s not. He was fired from Ole Miss.

He was passed over at USC.

No AD not named Joe Alleva would hire him as HC.

No HC would even hire him as a Coordinator.

The jury is in. Except for a minuscule minority of Joe Alleva, the Polish Prince and a few “he talk like us baw” brown nosers.

Miles and company had the same average record as Orgeron in the time frame. So how does that equate to "good" for Orgeron?

I agree, but be careful talking like that. You’ll be branded a hater.

Miles went 37-14 over his last 4 full season. Do you need a calculator to average out how many win that is?

It’s about the direction.
Miles was heading down.
O jury still out.
Jimbo won with Winston
Gene with newton
Miles with saban

Jury always out on any coach. College football is what have you done for me lately world. I am so glad we didn't get Fisher or Herman and I was all in for them when search was on. I don't like the direction Texas university is headed, If this years recruting class is any evidence of thier future I am ok with what we got. LessMiles school of recruting. Top 5 but no recruting for need at all . Like a hot wife, looks great but don't cook or clean house. Not sure about you but freak that. Yes I meant Less Miles

Chizik

8-5
14-0
8-5
3-9

Jimbo

10-4
9-4
12-2
14-0
13-1
10-3
10-3
5-6 last year

Jimbo is no saban but its a bit much to compare to Chizik

Jimbo practically but one year in his entire career has had a sustained success

10 wins for Miles. "Heading down."
10 wins for Jimbo. "Unproven."
10 wins for Orgeron. "Good."

That seems rational.

One guy told me he was scared to death in 2015 about Jimbo. His attitude was that if LSU ever utilized its offesnsive talent than the LSU/Bama rivalry could flip in a hurry.

I think the last two years speak volumes to that. Defensively, LSU and Bama are on the same level. Offensively and program consistency (i.e. Winning the games you should win - everytime out), LSU is still way behind our competition. Make no mistake about it, from a talent and facilities standpoint, our competition is in Tuscaloosa. We should be competing for the West, not hoping to win 10 games, especially in a era of 12 game seasons (4 of which are OOC and in most seasons are rent-a-wins).
