So LSU can not have comment about an investigation involving others and it be ok but Will Wade does the same and he's suspended?? Bunch of absolute clowns run this school.

Yep. It's being called out in the main thread.

It's an active ongoing criminal investigation not an NCAA compliance issue. Big difference.

Wes, you and our young LSU students are learning quickly about what’s important to the higher ups overseeing this program. Loyalty and doing right by players/ fans takes a backseat to politics and self preservation of old ambitious men.

I'm not sure about that because Alleva has now demonstrated that the NCAA has to be invited to any active ongoing criminal matter.

Wade is scheduled to testify at a criminal hearing in a case that involves the FBI.

Page 3 of Will Wade's contract says his duties include, "Cooperating fully in any investigation conducted or authorized by LSU, SEC or NCAA at any time of possible NCAA or SEC violations."

You cant talk. You are suspended. Pretty simple.

Though the quotes in each statement are similar, the situations are not alike. Someone with 20 years of risk management experience should be able to see that.

The issue has never been that Wade wouldn’t talk to LSU. The issue was that, due to ongoing legal issues, there are specifics that cannot be discussed at the moment and/or outside LSU Management/Legal team. Wade attempted to mitigate his limitations by requesting the scope of questions be limited. That was refused.

If LSU really wanted to know what’s up, they would have interviewed Wade with a very limited group of people present - Alleva, King, LSU Legal. They aren’t obligated, nor is it in LSU’s best interest - to have NCAA sit in on a 1st meeting with an employee who 1) hasn’t yet filled them in and 2) is scheduled for testimony in a federal trial.

The way to best navigate this would have been to have the tightly controlled meeting without NCAA and schedule the NCAA meeting for x date after Wade’s testimony in a federal trial was complete.

If you can’t understand and navigate the nuance involved here, there’s nothing else I or anyone else can do to help you. There is very rarely straight black and white in any investigation. You seem capapable of only thinking in a very simplistic manner and, worse, believe your linear, inflexible and compact thought process is superior to others.

based on everything in writing... Wade's CURRENT (or at time of suspension) situation ONLY involves a criminal investigation in which he is ONLY a subpoenaed witness.

That's likely to change... after said criminal investigation is over with according to NCAA statements (where they said they are going to wait on them to finish).

That right there screams setup or personal vindictive agenda to me. For LSU it was not logical. When someone acts illogically, look for other motivating factors.

Not yet. He has only been served notice that he MAY be called as a witness for the DEFENSE. Nothing is scheduled other than the start date of the trial.

In the LSU/OLOL situation LSU may become part of the criminal investigation for the prosecution. And maybe even considered as a party to the theft of funds if it can be proven LSU knew an athlete’s relative was being paid illegally from OLOL Foundation funds.
