This is exactly what I thought when I saw this thread. Congrats to the tigers for scoring 1/9 of their runs in 1/9 innings in a game.
I'm stoked like the rest of us for winning today, but this isn't an accomplishment here.

That's not much out of line statistically. Assuming nine innings per game (I know we have had a good many extra inning games, but we've also had a good many eight and a half inning games), and assuming your run scoring is equally distributed among the nine innings, then each inning should account for roughly 11% of your total runs. 11.7% is pretty close to that.

I don't know what the percentage is exactly. However, I have noticed that a solid 11-12% of our outs come in the first inning. We need to come out of the gate hotter.

A. That' assuming we score in everying inning.
and B. Not saying it's a milestone or anything, but we've had so many big 8th innings, I just wanted to see how many of our total runs came in the 8th.

i dont care for the statistics, but LSU has come back when trailing what appears to be in the 8th inning.
i can definitely understand scoring more in other innings, especially with mid week games to consider etc.. but the 8th is the clutch inning in close games.. at least that's how it has felt as a viewer.
