You fricking people keep asking if this game will be moved are morons. Its gonna be played in Orlando at the time it stated it will be played.

Hmmmm...Cat 3 now, and predicted to be a 4 at landfall
Hmmm at the time of that post, it was a three which is why I, along with others, said that the title of this thread wasn’t true. Understand now? It was a 4 at landfall.
Happy now?
I don’t understand why some of y’all have to be “right.” Nobody wins here. Say some prayers for those in the path of the storm. Geez man.
You in particular. It’s all you’ve been posting. The doomsday scenario. My friends in Orlando never lost power. All theme parks are open.
Still clinging to the notion that the game will be affected?

Tallahassee well west side now
That should help
You’re wasting your time thinking logically with that guy. According to him, there’s no way the game will be played. It’ll be like Mad Max and it’s every man for himself.
The fact that it made landfall hundreds of miles away is irrelevant, according to him.
Seriously though, prayers to those affected.

I know I'm going to get shite for this, but oh well. Maybe it's because I'm older now but football is going to be played this year regardless. There are lives that are going to be lost and ruined in the aftermath of this storm. A lot of things more important than a football game.

How long will I-10 be closed from Tallahassee to Lake City I-75 south? That's the question. Many trees on that stretch of hwy and downed power lines.

More north it goes. The more likely it’s played in Orlando, if it goes more towards Orlando as a cat 4, I can see them moving it are canceling it

OP was correct. It did become Cat4 for a period, the lost strength and was a Cat3 at landfall. Katrina was once a Cat5 while heading to landfall, but fell back before landfall. Unfortunately the storm surge was still catastrophic.

You shouldn’t get crap for that. That’s being a good person.
It’s one thing to think, “hmmm will it affect the game” and it is exactly that, a game. Someone will lose their house, belongings, have to live in a hotel room for weeks now and that’s terrible.
To continue with that because “you’re right” is ridiculous, particularly when it didn’t affect the city that the game is being played in is even more ridiculous.
That’s what that guy is doing.
You shouldn’t catch any crap for being a good person. I lived out of a hotel room for two months after Laura.

The only chance Idalia had at affecting the game is if it made a hard east turn like previous storms had and was coming in on the far eastern part of the guidance tracking. Idalia’s hurricane force windfield was pathetically small.
