Softball is very close to becoming embarrassingly bad at LSU. Men’s basketball bad. Verge has some major problems in his department currently.

18, you too nice to say it but this was a pathetic performance..coaches share blame but they don’t cause errors, overthrows, 6-7 walks ..these players have no pride..tik tok queens though

These girls look like High School players at the plate.
And, wasn't Heavener the top rated Pitcher coming out of high school? Now, she is, what 6 - 6 in her Soph. season? What exactly did Torina do in the offseason with the Pitching?
I still think it is better to get embarrassed in the first game of a 3 game series than losing by one and feeling good about yourself as you get your boogy on with your Tik Tok videos.
This coaching staff looks lost and the players couldn't care less about "team" or "winning".

I've been watching LSU softball for a long time. I enjoy the pace of the game and it's evolution from slapping and bunting to scratch out a run to today's bombers. This is the dullest team in Beth's era. There's no joy or spark. In every game it's death by a thousand self inflicted wounds. Physical errors, mental errors, passed balls, throwing to wrong bases, etc. You see better tactical ball in little league. Over the years Beth's teams have been sound; this team isn't. Without reading too much into what you see on tv, there seems to be something going on much deeper between the players, coaches, and dugout.

What did “Bryce” do? Who knows? What did he do with Franklin who got zero playing time last yr now leads the country in triples. Everyone sucked but the player has to take accountability dude for their own performance. Do we know what the kid did all summer? Do you really think a coach changed a AA player? Come on man be smarter than that! Does “Bryce” get the credit for Bergeron and Edwards being All American. The analogy is Berzon, was she great because of Beth or herself? Was she bad because of Beth? She been bad at OU so I guess it’s OU fault lololol!! The rant is a classic, players are great it’s all players, players suck and it’s all coaches…likely it falls in between..just wait if Vegas is correct and we only win 7-8 games in football everyone will want Lane fired lmao

Coaches have to make sure players are doing what they are supposed to be doing in the off season. Bergeron and Edwards have regressed. Franklin didn't play last year so we can't compare the two seasons.
As for Berzon, I never thought she was "great". Even in her "good" years, she seemed to always have people on base, but managed to get out of the jams.
It's not all on the player. Especially, these coaches that want to "change" a players approach just for "changes' sake.

What off season are you talking about? An approach is week to week dude depending on the pitcher, the approach to their first pitcher is different than the second pitcher. So what you are saying is the hitting guy was great last yr but sucks this yr..I would likely say 80-20 player…we gonna get beat by Vandy omg Jay sucks lolololololol..give me the right players and a great culture and you gonna win a lot of games

They cannot talk hitting with a player in the summer per NCAA rules. As far as work that’s 100% on the player during the summer, zero blame on any coach..just like conditioning in baseball and softball. A s&c coach can give the team a plan for the summer and if the player doesn’t want to do it who is at fault? I assure you Jay, Beth, Josh Jordan, Bryce, and all coaches at every SEC team gives their kids plans for the summer to practice but it’s up to the player to execute

And they have ways of knowing if the player actually did their planned off season workouts.
If not, deal with the player as quickly as possible. Don't just say, "Oh well, the player didn't do what we told her to do, but she still is in the lineup as she was last year".
