He may have no faith in the staff as opposed to the QB situation.

Toliver had more problems than bad QB play.
Toliver never impressed me with his effort, he took plays off, he quit on routes, etc...
I'm sorry you didn't have a great QB but dont be a vag about it.

. You'll get the ball next year and get drafted.
I'm sure he's been told that, we have all thought that, we have all expected it.
We expected Lee to play more because Jefferson sucked.
We expected to pass the ball more in games we could work on the passing game.
How many things have we expected from Les Miles and he has NEVER EVER changed his hard headed ways?
It befuddles me his incessant hell bent ways of doing things at all costs no matter what he will do it his damn way win or lose.

TT senior year had JJ at the helm. Shep is thinking opposite of how he should. Shep will have Mett, its at least worth a try. His stock cannot drop any lower imo, and should improve.

JJ and Lee were elite 11 prospects and highly rated QBs too.
Lets just try and forget about that lol.

I'm dissappointed in Shep. He's acting very immature.

Who the hell are you to judge what a player does with his career/life?
We have no idea of what is really going on, but clearly RS is not confident about the offense next year either.

Just because Mettenberger is a pocket QB how do we know Les is going to try and throw the ball? He is as hard headed as they come, we have seen this over and over and over and over and over.

Maybe if Terrence Toliver could have consistantly caught a pass he would have had more balls thrown his way. Basically he made a few plays his senior year but overall a big disappointment himself.
Like him leaving as a Junior would have helped him in the NFL..

If so, good luck at the combine Shep!
You obviously read the handwriting on the wall, get paid!

quote:Check Toliver's combine performance. Then, remember,
all depends on how fast he runs at the combine and pro day! he prolly has a 40 inch vertical 2. He will test off the charts and get drafted in the 4th or 5th round. His ceiling is still high and that's all the NFL cares about. Test over production which is pretty dumb 2 me.

It was a surprise to some that Toliver, a two-year starter and the Tigers' leading receiver last season, was passed over in the final day of the NFL draft during rounds four through seven. None were more surprised than Toliver himself, who was expecting to learn his future employer during Friday's second and third rounds.
Don't forget, this is just after he was Cotton Bowl MVP.

when your QBs are JJ and Lee for 3 years you might as well come back for the 4th
Posted on 1/12/12 at 1:44 pm to fjohns1
RS unfortunately missed the passing portion of the 2011 season due to NCAA suspension.

JJ was poison. Miles loved it. End of story.

I had really thought Miles learned his lesson at Auburn 2006, where he wasted NFL skill talent in an ultra-conservative gameplan. The offense opened up after that and continued in 2007.

Miles throws the ball when he has an above average QB that he trusts. fact

That offense from the MNCCG is Miles preferred offense.
It was here with Crowton, it is here after Crowton left. Shep knew what was coming, and so do the others leaving.
I wish them the best.

Then go pro and be done with it. Don't throw other players under the bus for your underperforming. Everybody kills Jefferson when he doesn't take responsible for his frick ups. Shouldn't Shep bear some responsibility for not beating out Odell?
