Experts have watched Te'o play and rightfully put him where he deserved with all those awards and honors.

or he wouldn't have been a great player in the SEC

I wanted to think this too but don't underestimate the value of playing in the SEC for 3 years like Minter did. I think Teo was at a huge disadvantage playing against an OL as good and as physical as Bama's for the first time. He would have adapted if he had been in the SEC for his college career and may have ended up being a better LB. The SEC turns Boys to Full Grown Men.

I've said the same thing since all the teo hype started. Minter will be the better pro as well.

Who are the voters on the All-American Teams and the various awards?

Some of the same people that think college football is somehow better when Notre Ame is relevant....no matter how overhyped they were based on an undefeated season against very weak opponents. I kept waiting for Teo to make an impact but the only impact I saw him make was hitting the ground after missing a tackle or being pancaked by one of Alabama's linemen. If he couldn't make plays against Alabama, what in the hell is he going to do against seasoned NFL veterans?

Of course Teo was overhyped, but so was Glenn Dorsey, so why complain about it?

The hype is predictable, because his story is a good one.

And while I think that Minter is better than Teo and is still underrated by most LSU fans, I also think that you can't judge Teo by a bad game against Bama when his whole team was getting steamrolled. Most LBs look terrible when a defense is getting overrun.

Either Teo just played terrible or he wouldn't have been a great player in the SEC. I am leaning towards the latter.

So if he would have signed with an SEC school out of HS and had been coached by that school's coaches, he still wouldn't be as good?

I still believe Te'o will have a good NFL career although he was overrated in college.

Te'o will get hammered all over the field in the NFL. He does not have the size or strength to take on a block, he tries to run around them and that just won't work. That whole INT thing is such a crock - how many were tipped right to him?

I agree with others, his draft stock took a beating last night.

Minter didn't have ex-girlfriend/Grandma die in same week drama, in which every college media outlet pounced on like red meat.
