People who think a trip to Omaha is a matter of fact are clueless.
It’s extremely hard to reach and even tougher to win it all now. I hope we get back soon, but there are no guarantees for anybody.

wanted Vitello at LSU more than anyone. Doesn’t mean I don’t support Johnson though. And this game doesn’t prove my opinion was wrong.
I would have been happy for Vitello and his team to win but their fans can suk a big fat one.

Vitello is a soldier with balls and I'll leave it at that. Wish lsu had him.

Well the Leprechauns beat the Hound Dogs to advance to the CWS.

I hated this Vols team as much as some of those Miami Hurricane football teams of the 80-90s.....the only difference is that they actually won something...

Tennessee had more ejections than the rest of the league combined?
is that true?

At least two against Alabama, two against Notre Dame.

Alabama had an ejection that same game. I don’t remember any others off hand but I could see it being true.

I don't know. It wouldn't be surprising, considering how they act. But on the flip side, it would be surprising because they beat the breaks off of a lot of teams so they shouldn't have had many opportunities to complain.

Your issue is with ESPN and the SECN for calling them that.

Yeah. You have to wait till someone at least wins it all.

This is so great.

So you hate their fans because the act like douchebags, but love their coach who is the head of the circus? Makes perfect sense.

frick NO. Skip Bertman and Paul Mainieri spent damn near 40 years between them running a first class program that people respect. LSU can win without someone like Vitello

Of course they lost. Way WAY too much hype/arrogance.
It is odd though that these juggernaut teams never win it all. I'm not a coach, so I dunno.

What is the MO/strategy from teams that beat them? How did they find their weak spot when others could not just days weeks before?

In this case, Notre Dame is a really old team that wasn’t intimidated by the environment. They were also (rightfully) pissed because they got screwed by the NCAA.

Link Jarrett is a damn good coach and Notre Dame has been very good the last couple years under him. They should have been a host.

Link Jarret alumni of many a #1 Florida State teams.

With this Tennessee team I thought of the late 80's FSU that never won. That one pitcher Lloyd went like 20-1 until the CWS.

Tennessee’s fans make it impossible to pull for them in any sport. Glad they took a beating from ND and found out. I’m really surprised they got lost because there is some serious talent on that roster.

Tell that little bitch Drew Gilbert to go stand in the corner. 'Drew you are in time-out.'

Very true. This is the third straight tournament that the #1 overall seed has lost in the Supers. And all 3 had dominant regular seasons.
