You cited to the OP's graph about lesbian 9th grade girls in coming up with your 400% number. My point was that 9th grade girls are full of shite, and a large percentage of them claiming to have homosexual tendencies are full of shite. Unless these girls are actually engaging in homosexual sexual activity, the "born this way" hur durring is moronic.

If a thread is about the self reported sexuality of teenagers, and people start trying to extrapolate out based on massive fluctuations in that self reported inclination, whether or not those teenagers have actually engaged in the relevant sexual behavior would be relevant, don't you think?

I was actually referring to the yellow 12th grade grade line they showed an increase from just over 5% in 2015 to just over 25% in 2021, thus a 400% increase.
Had I been looking at the red 9th grade line, which shows an increase from just over 10% in 2015 to just over 25% in 202 I’d have described it as a roughly 150% increase.
But all of that is beside the point. Looking at that graph never made the idea of the particular sexual acts some of these girls did, or didn’t, engage in regardless of their grade level, cross my mind.

I agree with you there. The massive explosion of teens, particularly girls, self-identifying as having various forms of homosexual fetishism was purely dude to homosexual fetishism being portrayed in media (both traditional and social) as being the “cool” thing to be.
It’s no different than when I was a teenager in the mid-80s and seeing girls from rural north Alabama suddenly develop a “valley girl” accent.
Modern teen girls are the most impressionable group on the planet. Their need to fit-in drives them more than any other group.

The point I'm endeavoring to make is whether someone is gay is predicated on whether they want to do gay shite, not how they answer a polling question. I imagine the average person wouldn't really consider two girls kissing to be gay. Even touching another woman's arse or breasts wouldn't really register for most people. Now, have actual gay sex? That's some gay shite. For women, "gay sex" is, generally, oral sex.
If the OP was about guys instead of girls, "fricking or getting fricked by another guy" would definitely be on the list of certifiably gay shite. But the OP wasn't about guys
