This thread reminds me if a JJ/JL thread.
The pro-arrest crowd is for JJ
The it was just hazing crowd is for JL.

well then we better lock up about 75% of guys that went to college & pledged a fraternity, were freshman on a sports team, or joined a secret society that hazes. yep, let's get all those deviants off the streets!
I was either a part of all of these, or witnessed all of these, and in neither case did I see a male hump another unconscious male's face with their exposed nutsack....and without his consent.
What friggin world do you live in?
Posted on 1/27/12 at 3:19 pm to EZE Tiger Fan
Agree. I have never seen shite like this in all my years in a Frat or growing up in the 3rd ward. What if the gump had crabs or some kind over VD?

ONE incident of a drunk football fan, essentially hazing, another drunk football fan after the national championship game is NOT indicative of the city of New Orleans or its tourism.
the guy is FROM alabama, not new orleans. it's not like he's walking the streets every night looking for someone to teabag
fine the guy, make him apologize, & move on to bigger & more pressing issues.
Hey, are you a Magic Fan? I'm a Heat fan. I guess you wouldn't have a problem with me sucking down a 12-pack while driving up to Orlando the next time the Heat go there and beat the Magic. After the game, I'll "haze" your wife, girlfriend, sister, niece, nephew or God forbid, CHILD. I promise I will only do it ONE time. Then, I'll apologize, pay the City of Orlando a little fine and drive back to Fort Lauderdale and let your local law enforcement officials to move on to more pressing issues like how to frick up the investigation of a mother killing her 2-year old child.

Using that moron's logic, this too would have been the fault of the kid that was begging for this by simply being passed out on a counter in a public restaurant.

I doubt the ignoramus would be talking like that if it had happened to him, don't y'all? I say he gets what he deserves in court and that he needs to shut his yap and deal with it.....f*****g arsewipe.

No shite. I can't believe the morons here using the word "prank" and it really doesn't have anything to do with Alabama and LSU. This is all about one human being having absolutely no regard for the dignity of another human being. I would be just as pissed off if the LSU fan was the one sexually assaulting the Alabama fan.....probably MORE pissed off for embarrassing LSU.

So by this line of thinking roofie rape is perfectly alright.

this Bammer has singlehandely lowered the standards for Bourbon Street!!
Not an easy feat I might add.

It's pretty obvious they are trolling for negative attention in an effort to get a change of venue.
I can't imagine anywhere in the State of Louisiana that has a courthouse that there could be an unbiased trial. The teabagger has been on all the major news stations, all the local ones and in local and national newspapers.
I'd be surprised to find out there were people who didn't hear of this incident.
Unless there is a city called BumF, LA out in the middle of nowhere with no form of communication...

One earlier poster suggested the attorneys were trolling for change of venue. I don't practice in LA, but I am willing to bet from growing up in LA that the best jury pool a Gump would ever get in LA is in New Orleans (or maybe in Glenn Gilbeau's (sp?) neighborhood).

This will never go to a jury.

Guilbeau lives in Baton Rouge but grew up in Metairie. He went to Rummel (Class of '79) then to LSU and then to Missouri because he felt they had a better Journalism school.
What's wrong with LSU's Manship School of Journalism?

too many (stupid) questions/responses to quote so i'll try to get them from memory:
-got a good feeling 75% of you are trolling. well played.
-i'm not defending the teabagger as in he's 100% innocent. of course he should be taught a lesson. but jail rape in OPP? c'mon...how about eye for an eye.
-i would be absolutely singing the same tune if this happened to my sister/girlfriend/wife/mother/etc.
in the world i live in, as some asked about it, my parents taught us about the dangers of the real world & what people are capable of. taught us consider our everyday choices & to own up to our own choices & decisions-ESPECIALLY as it pertained to alcohol consumption, traveling, gambling, sex, & that "nothing good ever happens after midnight".
does it suck when it happens to your own kin? absolutely. but the fact remains-they put themselves out there in a situation where it's possible. it sucks, but that's the real world. there are frickers out there that are going to pull this shite. you don't want it to happen to you? then don't put yourself in those situations as best you can help it.
-same idea can be compared to the date rape question: YOU KNOW that guys in college bars (but really bars/parties in general) prey on women by buying them drinks & slipping something in them or that when you get slop nasty drunk a guy is going to try to take advantage of you. yet you CHOOSE to go out & put yourself in that situational possiblity anyway=you HAVE to accept some of the blame. i'm not saying the rapers are justified. obviously they are the lowest forms of life & deserved to be punished. but, i'm saying that the innocent aren't always so "innocent".
PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD NEED TO ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR OWN DECISIONS. PERIOD.
-someone said something about leaving my doors unlocked & my whole family getting murdered & whatnot: MY FAULT. i live in a world where people break in to homes & pull some evil shite. so what do i do? i pay for an alarm system & i lock my shite up. after that-it still happens, well that just sucks. but again, such is life. shitty things happen to good people.
-in the case of the teabagger: we just lost the national title & you're an LSU fan. which means you should know what kind of classlessness bammer are capable of. you decide to go to sleep or drunkenly pass out ALONE in a Krystal after midnight in the City of New Orleans & you honestly don't think someone's (bammer fan or not) gonna screw with you in some way, shape, or form? well then you're a naive little shite & your parents failed you. sometimes bad things happen to good/innocent people.
-count the post game fights that took place be/t fans out in nola. whomever got picked on/beat up is just as guilty be/c they knew they'd be going out in the middle of a bama celebration of drunk gump-tardness. what did y'all think was gonna happen? everyone would line up on Bourbon & shake hands & say "good game"?!?!? no-you're gonna fight.
bottom line-the teabagger should be punished. but nothing near as severe as what some of you over the top zealots are preaching. and the teabagged has hopefully learned NOT to put himself in a similar situation again.
