Hanging around for his senior year isn’t going to improve his vision or his 40 time by 0.2 seconds.

Might as well move on, and if you don’t pan out in the NFL, get on with life. Can’t hate the young man for this decision, especially since he already has a daughter he has to support.

No chest. Fumbled away the biggest upset of the year.

Yeah it would be wiser to come add more wear and tear to himself when playing a position that has an extremely short life in the NFL

Let’s be real, he would be better off maximizing the value of that first contract. I dont See him playing 10 years in the league whether he goes early or not

He really needed one more year. But I get it....so best of luck! I definitely think he's talented enough imagine if CBK is able to assemble a strong and amazing oline this year (such a missed opportunity and it looks like the oline may be the best group on the team if everyone stays healthy).

Oh man, I hope Emory can get it together bc I think he will be excellent with a good line. Too bad we will be missing a bruiser.

I also think Goodwin from Trussville is really good. Watched him a few times in HS and he was electric. Auburn really wanted him.

The culture around this program is horrendous. Why is he even considering going pro?

Best of luck but who the heck is giving these guys advice? Does TDP think he’s done something to stick out?

Wut? I know Kiner has shown potential but struggled in league play. Bradford/Goodwin/Williams are role players. While I hope we get Citizen he’d still be a true freshman.

Emery is the wild card and would probably be the main guy but who knows with his academics.

Good luck to him but probably a mistake. Another year of playing college football would have benefited him.

Prove that he can be an asset in the passing game. The NFL doesn’t want guys who can’t catch or be a threat in the passing game anymore. TDP would have been better served by playing in the 1970’s.

It's a nice message, and is appreciated. It sucks as a fan, especially of one with a lot of holes. On one hand, I really think he would have benefited from more film and with our bowl game QB situation, he probably would have racked up the stats and a legitimate chance of being the MVP. On the other hand, if he's got a daughter (didn't know that), there's no guarantee he's going to undeniably improve his draft stock in the bowl, and if he were to injure himself, he's not poised to get the benefit of the doubt with a strong draft pick. Good luck to him, I'll root for him at the next level.

He had an awful sophomore and junior season

He started off having an awful year this year, but the 2nd half of the season was pretty strong. He rushed for 140+ against UK, he broke the LSU single-game rushing record against Florida, rushed for over 100 against Bama (a rarity at LSU) and he ran for over 100 against Arkansas and finished with 1000 yards.

With that said, I don't know that he gets drafted because he lacks top end speed and is more of a north-south runner. Maybe he'll be a late round pick, but it's not like his draft stock is high, so I'm not sure why he is skipping the bowl game.

5 years ago I would have said this was dumb, but as a RB this is 100% the correct decision. His window in the NFL lasts for about 5 years and, as we’ve seen for the last few years, he can go in as an UDFA and actually make money if it hits.

Thanks TDP for the memories. I wish you the best - that you’ll rise past that 6/7th round pick and make it to a solid practice squad for at least 2..3 seasons.

Good luck.
