I say that changed last year with JD5 airing it out to Nabors, Thomas & Co. even though JD was running for 30 yards or 70 yard runs and our RB were making good runs as well. We also threw it a bit to Taylor.

When Georgia beat us in the SEC Championship game, or even the year before that when Washington and Bowers were kicking every ones arse, I said we need to get some big arse TE and do what Georgia is doing, then we will be a force. That will start this year!

However, earlier in his career

you mean in mop up action mostly when he was probably trying to do more to showcase his talent? Teams will have to respect his ability to throw it over the top, and that will open up a lot over the middle for our TE's and RB's, and Nuss showed in the bowl game he had progressed to the level where he would check it down. He has started exactly 1 game in his career. It took Burrow over half the first year to start getting comfortable, and it took Daniels into his 5th year starting. I believe Nuss, because he has been in the system, while will make some mistakes, but he will more than overcome those mistakes.

Everyone agrees on this combo in red zone, but this group could be effective in the middle of the field as well. We struggled to cover the two big FL St guys last year, and could present that type match up problems for defenses. These guys are not just tall; they have speed so we aren't limited to short passes with them.

Still a head scratcher. He can't portal til December. He just gonna chill all fall? Could have still seen plenty of playing time.

Markway must the think the grass is greener on the other side, but he really doesn’t have much tape on him. I doubt a top 15 school gives him a scholarship. I could see him going to a smaller school I guess? Or a team that won’t be competitive. He really doesn’t have much out there, and as a coach, who wants a kid that quits at training camp? Rather sit out instead of putting more tape on the field? Wtf

They will definitely be using one and two TEs this season. Short yardage two TEs but send one out wide and have one on the edge to help block. If you run the ball it creates huge issues because you have a big TE on a corner. Leave a safety on the field or LB and then you get cooked in the pass game.

Then you have to deal with the RBs, pass or run? I think it will be called better than 2019 or at least on par. Now can Nuss and this offense do what 2019 did? Probably not but if they can do 70% we’d be fine. Our defense should get TOs this season and hopefully we working with more short fields.

CBK is not and has never been an “air it out” kind of head coach. If the tight ends pan out he will defer to them and “use the passing game to set up the running game. Not to say he can’t or won’t change but based on his head coaching history (especially at ND) where he had some pretty decent QBs, we never saw an “air attack” type offense. Unfortunately, he comes from similar old Big 10 conference styles as CLM. Hopefully, the talent at QB and WR will convince him to be more imaginative with the passing game. However if the OL and RBs pan out and excel, some fans might be frustrated when; after getting a couple scores up, he reverts more to a ball control, ground and pound offense. Unfortunately, I don’t think that will pan out in SEC play. We will certainly see in a couple weeks though. At any rate,

Were you in a coma last year?

Last season against aTm, we used 4 TE's.

Did we? Because Mason Taylor was the only TE with a reception and he had 2 receptions for 9 total yards.

Kirby Smart said the '19 team had the capacity to run the whole offense WITHOUT substituting. This is what made them so difficult to defend. With Joe pulling the strings and no huddle/no substituting Joe, could play 4D chest and achieve the mismatches he desired.

Yep, we used 14 personnel, 4 TE's. Go to the 5:55 mark.
