SEC ref Steve Shaw on targeting: "We've had five targeting and all five have been confirmed."

#LSU has two of them.

Also

quote:

Shaw on #LSU PI call: "Coaches have plays they call 'rub' (route) but if they are initiating that defender, that's a foul."

quote:

Shaw on offensive PI call: "The rule states it's the responsibility of the offensive player to avoid the defensive play." #LSU

Still think this is garbage. Unless they got tighter with this call, I've seen more blatant bumps not get called.

Pretty foolish to think that the SEC office would over ride a game official especially if it benefited any body other than Alabama.

The one on Farrel was garbage. His legs were tangled and he was falling forward.

He actually tried to avoid the contact when he tripped but it was too late

What happened to the rule being put in place for players launching themselves at defenseless players? They're ruining football with this garbage.

How many targets have been called on the Alabama kickoff team?

Anything less than 10 and I'm convinced SEC refs are biased.

Football is being run by pussies now. An automatic ejection is such a joke

Do you really think anything would be different coming from the joke that is the SEC office! Anyone not named Alabama will suck the big SEC dick!!

And they are slowly but surly ruining college and pro football. I'm already walking the a fine line from completely hanging up on the NFL if I haven't already done it! I've watched part of one game so far, the Monday Night Saints shite show!

I don't know if it was the announcers in this game or somewhere else but it was said that more players are now taught to go for the legs to avoid getting a targeting call. So how long before broken legs and ACLs are the norm?
