I wish you keyboard athletes would appreciate JD for what he is, and quit trying to make him what he ain’t.

Our fanbase was spoiled by Burrow. Daniels had a top 5 season in LSU QB history.

This

You can definitely tell the fans that didn't suffer through some terrible QB play, when you honestly felt better when the Defense would take the field

This all takes care of itself when Nuss beats out daniels. I'll take a somewhat mobile QB that can find open wr's downfield than a guy that is a runner and cant find open guys downfield. The great thing is if Daniels can turn it around and fix his issues it should show in the first game against FSU. If we get the Daniels that faced Tenn,A&M, Ark then Nuss should be starting the rest of the year.

3 out of 14 games. Too bad the job is not up for grabs. Jayden is in competition with himself to get better not with Nuss for the starting job.

Nuss is developing at a good rate. He should be ready to step in if needed. Hopefully by 2024 he’ll be ready to be the starter. In the mean time he has to stop playing hero ball and learn to Check down and take what the defense give him and keep drives going.

He’s got a ways to go before he can be trusted.

We'll be lucky to keep Nuss this year. He could start for one of the teams we'll play this year.

Seriously though. Dude has an entire offseason to improve on a handful of issues. I'm hoping the staff comes out of this with the merit of developing qb's for the next level. Developing Daniels into a complete qb this offseason would be monumental for the program. Nuss will be under the same tutelage. LSU is going to impress. Next year U!

Nuss probably could start for several teams. He’s also getting handed the starting job to a 3rd year rebuilt monster. He’s in a great spot, and it lines up perfectly for Nuss to start 2 after JD then Hurley to take over.

The future is bright

Yeah, lots of growth shown against Arkansas and Aggie at the end of the season. 1 TD and 3 or 4 turnovers?

No Bama, no Ole Miss, no bowl game, even when he played against Georgia...nope-you went straight to the negative. You deserve your misery.

People will bash you but your right. I still can’t believe people are complaining that we have our starting QB who led us to the SEC championship and announce he’s coming back and people are rioting for a backup QB who has more interceptions than touchdowns in his career lol... it’s so wild!
there us nothing rational that justifies the gate for Daniels

Come on, we all know that LSU back up quarterbacks are always AA’s in waiting in the minds of some. Forget about the coaches we’ve paid millions and millions and millions of dollars to put the best guys on the field and who have put us in 4 national championship games in the last 20 years, winning 3, us fans always know who the best players really are. lol

Forget the guy who put up 3800 yards of O, 28 total touchdowns, beat Bama, and helped us win the West, after being picked 5th, let’s go with the guy who throws the ball down field and forget about the fact he throws almost as many interceptions as he does touchdowns. lol

I think the injury affected his play the few games that were lost late in the season.

But he played poorly against Arkansas. That's what's really important.

I sure hope a lot of the people in this qb-bashing camp never stumble at their jobs.

I wish they would have run him more. He is our best overall football player on offense, not just as a quarterback.

One thing I haven't see on here or TOS is how accurate JD5 was throwing the ball. His 68%+ completion rate was good enough for SECOND in the SEC only behind hooker from UT.

When you refuse to throw it if the receiver isn’t open by 7 yards, then your percentage will be pretty good. Accurate is not a word I would use to describe his throws. He often made them break stride on crossing routes, which limited yards after catch.

I am hopeful another year of practice can improve this. We have the weapons for him to have an outstanding year.
