Take him away from the 2011 team and tell me how many games they win with that offense

shite they would’ve lost game 1 to Oregon if there was no tm7

Honey Badger, Burrow, Faulk are the three biggest unique, special, impact players I’ve seen with my own eyes at LSU - not discounting Chase or Fournette or any others, but for me it’s those three then everyone else

Yea and LSU clearly beats Clemson without JaMarr's 221 yards and 2 TDs. They certainly dont beat Bama without JaMarr. I would even argue a lot of what Jets was able to do was because of the attention JaMarr garnered. Bottom line TM7 and JaMarr meant a lot to their respective teams.

TM7

He was the best defensive player I’ve ever seen in college football.

Then Chase due to the fact that he was shadowed with another stud in JJets.

Fournette next but it’s splitting hairs.

All remarkable, that’s my order of greatest ever at LSU. Hard to say any answer would be wrong. All remarkable in their own ways.

I understand who still says TM7 is #1 but there is not a "huge gap" between his sophomore year and LF7 or JC1.

I say true. LF fizzled out at the end of the year. I give the bump to Chase over TM because of how he played in the Championship game. Not saying TM was the reason we lost but we did and he wasn’t much of a factor. Chase has arguably his best game in the biggest spotlight. His big plays were the momentum swinging ones that got us out of the first quarter slump and eventually the win.

I’ll go with TM7 on defense, but no one has mentioned Delpit. His sophomore year was tremendous also. Delpit was dominant, but not the complete game changer Tyrann was.

On offense no one, even Fournette, had as good a year as Chase. Fournette was stymied by Alabama. I don’t think anyone truly stopped Chase, although having Jefferson and Marshall probably contributed to that. Fournette had no one else because of Les’s stubbornness to spread it out.

TM7, Fournette, Chase in that order, but its real close.

TM7, a freak we may never see again to wreak havoc on any offense. I had a vision he would tap that ball from the West Virginia QB to himself and intercept it, right before it happened. The QB did too, and I'll be dammed it happened.

Fournette- His Soph year was unreal...with that crappy offense. Imagine if he had this offense? We would have averaged about the same 400 in the air (402 YPG 2019) and probably about 220 on the ground = 620 YPG. We had 569 total YPG in 2019 and 167 YPG was rushing, so Fournette would have had us gain about 50 more yards on the ground.

Chase- What can we say, 84 reception for 1780 yards and 20 TD. All World numbers, and Jefferson put up similar numbers- WOW!!

Thank you. He was my first consideration. It’s as if everyone forgot LSU played before 2010.

TM7, Fournette, then Chase.

A few other stand out sophomore seasons recently: Derrius Guice was absolutely filthy filling in for an injured Fournette most of the year. Grant Delpit, Jamal Adams, Devin White and Arden Key also had huge sophomore seasons.
