T Bob says it’s scheme not players
But O only hires the best coordinators.
Since when did the OC & Asst's start blocking on the offensive line ?

I admittedly have not rewatched the game yet, but I will. Just didn't really have enough interest to rewatch it immediately.
I have seen enough in the first two games to draw 2 possible conclusions. As many have said during and since the games, there are/were many ways to combat the difficulties LSU has/had on offense.
I choose to believe we purposely ran our head into a brick wall with comfortable leads in both games, NOT that we just don't have any answers, we just didn't feel it necessary to show it a week before AU.
I complained about opportunities we had in favorable situations vs Miami on 2nd and short, involving bootleg or PA near midfield, and we ran simple handoffs for no gains back to back and punted.
We haven't thrown b/w the hashes at all once we had commanding leads in both games. We haven't had receivers running any routes lined up near each other, like the Saints did yesterday on their score just before the half, which requires zero pass protection. Very quick read.
Even if Ensminger wouldn't know all the simple things discussed ad nauseum in this thread, a lifetime NFL WR coach would never sit through what we've witnessed in our passing game thus far.
I think having the torches ready might be tempting, but I would at least entertain the thought that they have a clue about what's going on, and have a plan this Sat.
Maybe we just wait and see before getting all riled up.

agree 100% and we were told all summer by the propaganda dept. that we were running an offense Joe basically knew.
Which of course we aren’t. He probably didn’t even take a snap under center at OSU. This isn’t a spread option offense, or even a spread offense.
This!

Orgeron has rebuilt the talent level on defense and the line of scrimmage.
We just lost dudes to the NFL on both lines, Orgeron wasn't around for any of their recruitment.

He is right. LSU has talent. The same thing happened in 2011. It was coordination/scheme and having an unproven D1 OC that basically did what he was told, but wouldn't have done any better if he hadn't. People don't remember it was special teams that season that got us leads and made the game interesting until the offense got some points. Sabama shut special teams down and LSU didn't cross the 50 in the first half. I'm not sure if Ensminger has a good passing scheme. I mean, receivers need to run routes in levels so a QB can go through his progressions. 1 second receiver 1, 2 seconds receiver 2 etc. It seems that the routes LSU receivers are running all break at the same time. IDK what they need to do. I know I am still perturbed they got rid of Canada. I will love my Tigers regardless of W's and L's, but it's not easy sometimes.

If you watch the game and see the left defensive end run by our right tackle repeatedly. Then run through out right tackle and a running back sent to help. I challenge you to explain that has anything to do with scheme.
You guys want spread and throw it around. You have to have an offensive line that can block. We have not had one for several years. This is not new.
How about quick routes where your OL is not forced to block for a four count???

It's NOT just the scheme. Some of our offensive linemen were blown up by guys that'll be working along side us in a year or two. No scheme is going to dramatically fix that. I just hope and pray that Charles makes a monster difference when he returns. Magee too.

It's not hard to see. LSU struggled with the blitz so they went max protection. Well all that did was invited Southeastern to blitz more guys because LSU only had two dudes running routes. Where were the quick slants? Why no quick bubble screens, tunnel screens, quick hitches, 8 yd comeback routes, and back shoulder throws?
It’s not just that he went 2 TEs for too many plays. It was what they ran out of this formation. If you have an athletic hybrid TE, then you can move him side to side and send him on routes after a quick hit on a guy. If you are running quick flares out of the backfield, it gives you another option. And you have to mix it up so the D isn’t sure where the extra man will be.
If you keep both TEs and the back in tight, that hamstrings everything. If you have OBJ and Landry out there, you can get away with it. We don’t right now, so this is just not a good setup.
And it’s not like Steve hasn’t run a wrinkle or two out of a big set. He ran the same play twice vs Miami for short yardage where we line up heavy with one WR. The D bunched and the Safetys came up. Burrow threw a quick inside slant to the WR for an easy first. The first one was called back for a false start I think. The second time it was a first down. That was a nice play call that fooled the D. But we didn’t see any of that Saturday. They will need those kinds of wrinkles and good execution on them this week.

So Traore got beat consistantly because of scheme? Right
Traore got beat like a mule but a good scheme and a good offensive coordinator can counteract one bad lineman.
Traore played like absolute garbage and the coaching staff failed by relying on him

well Nick Brossette has 260 rushing yards through 2 games so why dont we let teams drop 4-5 back into coverage all night and see how that works out.

Not trying to be unpopular here, but if O want's quick spread passes he's gonna have to put Brennan in the game. Might not make the best decisions but he'll get rid of the ball.

I’m trying to stay out of this thread but this might be the single dumbest thing I have ever read on here
Frick you, you fricking “one of us” toothless shrimp boat driving piece of shite.
Do we need to bump the thread that shows we have some of the best talent in the SEC? Our O-line backups would be the biggest recruits SELA has ever landed.
You sir are a moron

T-Bob is full of shite. That offensive line was going to be just adequate before the season started. Heck, we were bringing in two jucos with the hope that they would be starters. Then we lost Ingram, so we started with an Ole Miss-level line. Then we lost our two starting tackles, so we were at a Nichols-level oline. We get Charles back this week, so I expect to have a Tulane-level offensive line for Auburn. When Magee comes back maybe we'll be back to Ole Miss-level.
