It doesn’t matter if you have 5 receivers if someone is bullrushing your QB the moment he gets the ball.

Now imagine an offensive coordinator who isn't stuck in the 90s who doesn't believe the only possible answer to address poor protection is adding more blockers. Imagine a world where LSU could effectively execute a screen pass and other intermediate throws which take pressure off of the OL and QB and keeps the defense on its toes. Imagine...

I heard that this morning and was surprised to hear how critical he was of the coaching staff.

It sounded like he brought up some valid points, but I don’t know offensive schemes

Other teams are running the RPO more than half of the plays, we do it on occasion. LSU is still running a bootleg where the qb rolls out 15 yards past the LOS.

I tried to tell some of my LSU buddies that Ensminger is gonna default to what he knows. Just watch his old games. He may implement a package or two but he isn’t gonna bring some new innovative offesne. He lives off the 5 step drop PA. Pushing the ball down field. Not a lot different than the Cameron offense.

good for him. i'm surprised he's speaking out against his dad's best buddy.

but this was all so predictable. there's a reason E hasn't coordinated an offense in 20 years (full time).

Miles got fired because he lost his edge and our talent level had significantly declined. Orgeron has rebuilt the talent level on defense and the line of scrimmage. At this point the Oline is still weak and inexperienced. Missing the starting left tackle did not help. Not adjusting to the blitz every play did not help

makes it easier to throw it away, all he has to do from there is get it past the LOS

Receivers are NOT getting separation. Jerry Sullivan's footwork BS isn't working at all.

"but if you think Joe Burrow, Nick Brossette, our weak OLine, and young WR core is going to compete in the SEC, I'd like to sell you some ocean front property in North Louisiana."

Guys, Can we quit saying "route concepts" when we really just mean "routes". There is not one guy on this board who knows the difference between a "route concept" and a "route" - that's because there IS NO DIFFERENCE. It's just something that talking heads say to sound important.

The oline was bad, but there were also multiple instances of Rb's and Te's not blocking anyone because SLU only rushed 4 and we had max protect.

I'm all for helping out the edges with chips, but at least instruct the team to cut to the flats and become an eligible receiver if you see 4 rush.

Think back to the Saints superbowl victory and look at the adjustments made to contain freeney and other pass rushers.

If you watch the game and see the left defensive end run by our right tackle repeatedly. Then run through out right tackle and a running back sent to help. I challenge you to explain that has anything to do with scheme

You guys want spread and throw it around. You have to have an offensive line that can block. We have not had one for several years. This is not new

So you honestly think we're recruiting a level of athlete not even on par with SELA? Just want to make sure that's what you're saying.

T-Bob is full of shite. That offensive line was going to be just adequate before the season started. Heck, we were bringing in two jucos with the hope that they would be starters. Then we lost Ingram, so we started with an Ole Miss-level line. Then we lost our two starting tackles, so we were at a Nichols-level oline. We get Charles back this week, so I expect to have a Tulane-level offensive line for Auburn. When Magee comes back maybe we'll be back to Ole Miss-level.

The quick slants and the flats were open all night. We had success throwing to Brossette n the flat then never went back to it. Chase scored on a quick out. There were ways to offset the blocking woes
