Most of the pumps are working. They have rental pumps and power generators on standby in case of more power issues.
I just don't think the heavy rain will move this far east

What are some hotels to look at around the dome? Anything within walking distance?

Hit up trivago.com. They show distance to the dome and quarter

New Orleans officials are scrambling to fix a malfunctioning pump system as the city prepares for Hurricane Harvey's rainfall.

So, what happens if NOLA starts to take on water since some of the pumps are broken there? Eta: 92% are working. Thought there were more still broken.

Funny that the percentage suddenly gets changed, it was not reported that small a couple days earlier, something like around 80% capacity. Wonder if LSU officials fully know the truth?

LSU football and Southern Decadance gay pride...what a cultural shock

Easy fix, swap dates with aTm and BYU. Easy enough since aTm fans will already be in NOLA.

Priceline, express deals. The America Best Value Inn in Metairie is always on there and it's cheap, clean, and nonsmoking. The one by the airport is disgusting because of the smoke but very cheap. West Bank Holiday is ok too, always available via express deal on priceline

Superdome makes sense because the ability to sell a ton of tickets and even if hotels are scarce most people can just travel for game day

Most hotels in downtown New Orleans are within walking distance of the Dome. I suspect the gays have a lot of the Quarter rooms booked.

Just go to expedia or hotels.com and pull up the map view.

Hyatt is basically next door and would be sweet.

I just booked the Hilton Riverside for Sat night only. Same price I paid back in March midweek.
