Less Miles is a good coach, yet he's still here and these threads go on everyday to bash him.

Clemson in chic fil a
Bama twice

OM 2013 was a completely pathetic defensive performance in addition to the fact Mett left his brain in BR that weekend. The FG to win was just insult to injury.

We were also very lucky to beat Ole Miss in 2012 as Freeze moved the ball at will on our D that day. A timely turnover and Odell punt return were LSU's saving grace that day.

Don't think you can pin the Clemson Chic Fil-A on the D. The O gave them no help in the end and Mett airmailed an easy throw that would have ended the game. Was that the game where Hill got like one touch in the 2nd half?

Still, Chavis is a... coach and I appreciate him for his service.
I'll give him that. But the word "great" is often overused in today's casual application of the language. Much like the word "awesome" it declines because of overuse and misapplication.

LSU and UT during Chavis' tenure had double the talent at worst on D

The chief never brought enough pressure on the QB to suit my taste. Needed to blitz more and seemingly rarely did in crucial situations.

you can't deny his defensive breakdowns with the game on the line. I'm not saying he sucks - he's really good but i'm excited to see what someone else can do.

Let's not forget that OM this season ended with Bo Wallace brain farting and throwing an INT at our goal line. OM kicks the FG and it goes to OT... maybe we win, maybe not.

Didn't Bo Wallace easily work down the field the last minute or so this year? Thank God instead of going for a field goal to tie it up, bad Bo decided he would throw a pick

I will never forget this. So much good Chavis did after MalVeto. But his time has run its course.

and don't forget if it wasn't for a lack of an offsides call late in the 4th quarter at Kyle Field, the Aggies would have probably beaten too this season.

Nah Dog. You forgot the no call on the offensive PI on #84.

He clearly pulls Mills head back as he is trying to catch the ball. So at least would have be offsetting.

Given our offenses since Chavis arrived, we would been screwed without him - even considering the 3rd and Chavis.

It should be moved because he's no longer here. I don't know anyone is still talking about him at all. He gone.

during the tn bowl, the announcers discussed the change that the sec defense has to make.

-sec's defenses always had BIG guys on line and the HUNH offense wears these guys out quick!

-ohio did hunh and that beat saban/al

-most cfb is going to spread/hunh and a faster defense is necessary.

THAT is why lsu let chavis go to tam. lsu NEEDS a faster defense. chavis d is too big and slow.

The Achilles heel of Chavis defense. Give an opponent 2 minutes with 80 yards to go and game on the line....watch...
