Honestly, I had no idea about the block in the back. Wow. That’s a great photo. BUT… the game is over. We lost. They ain’t changing the result. We got screwed by the SEC refs. Par for the course.

If we manage to stay healthy, we win this game, even with the calls. The injuries were decisive.

True. And to be fair,on one of our big pass plays for a first down on our first TD drive,if that should have been called for a penalty,we were guilty of a similar call about 15-20 yds downfield.

The injuries were decisive, I agree...
BUT, the reason we play the game is that each side is given a chance under the rules, to prevail on the field.
Any time officials screw up, regardless of their intent, and regardless of who SHOULD (stats, recors etc.) have won, both teams are cheated.
Do we know who the head linesman was? I kept wondering?

BS, the official on the field should have got it right. He is paid well to get the call right. Simply, its his job. He gets no pass from me. He was in position and should have seen the call correctly. Never should have gone "upstairs". What happen upstairs was a crime against all who paid to see these great athletes from both schools who deserve to win or lose on their own ability.

The thing that doesn't make sense for me is this:

LSU is a premier program. We have 2 MNC's in the last 6 years. Why would the SEC intentially take us out to prop up Bama?

Bama isn't THAT much more popular/powerful as we are. If we had won that game we'd have been just as legit as Bama in the MNC/BCS hunt.

So I don't know if I get the conspiracy theories - I think they were just hometown calls.

if Peterson stays hydrated i think we all know the score is most likely staying 15-14 LSU because Peterson makes the play against Jones AND makes the pick.

That WR screen to Julio wouldn't have been called if PP was on the field.

The conspiracy theory , if you wnat to callit that, is this:
The SEC's best chance of two teams going to the best BCS bowls, and the league getting the additonal $$$ related to those appearances, is for Fla and Ala . to win out (like last year). The started out with the highest rankings.
In the case of ALa this is reinforced by th elong held view that the league has ALWAYS given the calls to Ala (the league HQ's is in Ala, many officials are from there etc.).
There is good incentive for the league to favor those who will produce the most cheese.
The fact that Fla and Ala seem to keep getting the benefit of the bad calls is what fuels the theory.

Anyone mentioned the pass interference call we got on us when the ball was clearly thrown out of bounds?

The first bad spot on the Jefferson run was very, very questionable... and the Peterson pick was one of the worst replayed calls in the history of organized football.

In all fairness - I believe that early replay in the 1st on an Alabama reception that was ruled an incomplete out of bounds was a bad call.

But after that they screwed LSU non-stop. I think they just f'ed bama on that one call to make us think they were being equally incompetent towards both sides.

It was actually a very good call. Receiver didn't control the ball through the fall.

Let's give some credit to Bama.. them playing as physical as they did had alot to do with the amount of injuries we took.

or if our CBs would play tighter than 10-12 yards off the line of scrimmage.

Not just those who paid to watch, but the students/players should be given this right as well...I am sure it is just as discouraging to them as it is to all who watched the game (if not more). And how can a coach challenge something like that when it has been told they will be fined. Sounds like an admission of guilt for something they want to sweep under the rug. If it's BROKE...FIX it, not fine the ones who complain about it!

The spearing was probably a call where the ref didn't want to change the game due to a judgment call.

WHAT? The ref didn't want to change the game due to a judgement call? What a joke.

THEY DID, man with all of these bad calls.
