When did throwing drinks become synonomous with scoring a td? I sat in the upper for Bama and could see on the Ridley TD the cups came flying from the upper parts of the section. Just curious why we started doing this again. I remember when I was a freshman people did this after every TD. The police got a handle on it after people kept getting hurt from projectiles. Just wondering why it's become more evident again.

I saw it happen last year at the Alabama game when they scored the touchdown to push the game into overtime.

Happened again when they scored the touchdown against Tennessee to win.

I'm surprised they our allowing this to happen again. The bama game was so emotional though I wasn't surprised the drinks were flying

They did it in the mid 90's when I was going.

It was cool for Florida and Auburn in 07. Now it's kind of annoying.

Right who wants to get doused in 7 dollar watered down coke. Thankfully our offense doesn't score as much as it has in years past in respect to drink tossing lol

I'm fine with them doing it when we score a big, late TD against a good team (except for Tennessee because we lost at first)

It's fun when it's right after the last play of the game like Auburn in 07. Doing it on every TD is annoying.

Speaking of traditions, why did the state police stop Mike from crowd surfing at the bama game?

Because they wanted to set me up perfectly to yell "what are you the fun police?"

Add this to my response to you and the others in the pom pom thread.

People were throwing shite in the 90's when we scored. I got hit with bourbon all the time.

Don't like it?

Carry your arse out of the Student Section.

I don't care about getting wet or sticky (that's what she said) but it's outright dangerous.

Some of the drunk frickers throw their crown bottles, and have you ever been hit on the head with a half full bottle of water hurling down from 100 ft?

One of our cheerleaders a couple weeks back had to be taken to the hospital when a bottle hit her in the head.

It should stop, but it won't.
