Nicholls about to get steamrolled next week.

But yes, it’s been a strong showing.

Man I love and work in Lafayette and our company sponsors ULL tailgates- that’s the quietest 10-2 ever!!
I haven’t heard much about them this year at all. You’d think the town would be on fire

This season has been pretty similar to 2011. LSU & the Saints were arguably both the best teams in football that year.

This could be the year they both get revenge for blowing that double championship opportunity.

It’s been that way for years. They don’t support the teams but get snarky when they perceive that they are getting slighted in something by LSU.
There was an article last week about attendance frustrations the AD over there has. They’ve lowered ticket prices, lowered concession prices and try to make parking better to no avail.
The funniest suggestion was to offer class credit to students who attend sporting
events !!!
I know some folks that haven’t missed games in years but they are few and far between.
I make no secret about the fact that I have a degree from there but just don’t have any real allegiance to the school. Friends I have from Lafayette give me a hard time about it all the time. But when I ask them when was the last time they went to a game they just laugh and say it’s been a while...” it’s easier to watch on TV !”
I just think that is the case with most mid-major sports programs. Another reason may be that ULL is located in a town that’s larger than other Sunbelt teams, thus having more options to do things besides going to games...may not be the case but who knows. I know for sure that Appalachian State is located in Boone, NC which is a lot smaller than Lafayette...
I’m done for now...

This season is pretty comparable to 2011 based on the seasons of LSU and the Saints. I couldn't care less how the other schools are doing.

Have you seen how flag happy the refs are against the Saints?

Like, an OL can fart and they'll throw a false start flag. A WR can get held and dragged to the ground and draw an offensive PI flag. Drew can be dragged down by the facemask and be flagged for unnecessary roughness against the tackler.

Saints have already clenched their playoff spot but the fix is in. Just like last year, Goodell will not let the Saints win it all. At all costs.

I think when Cajun Field was opened is when they went 0-10 and left the Southland Conference to go "Big Time"

I understand that McNeese's attendance has gone to less than a half full stadium. A number of people will go to an LSU game if they get tickets, instead of McNeese. It's always been that way.

man tulane had the sorriest 6-6 . they were almost ranked back in mid october at 5-1.
ULL is 10-2 but barely getting any love in the polls. I bet you them and La Tech would be better than 6-6 with tulanes schedule.

At least in the 90's, McNeese tried to get tailgating started (I didn't see any tailgating at LSU in the early 70's) So they got mostly chemical companies, refineries and industrial contractors set up tailgate areas

I remember when in state recruiting the cream went to LSU, then next level to Tulane, everyone else went to the other schools. McNeese mostly recruited from SE Texas and local talent. Seems like LaTech got a fair amount from Shreveport area. Charlie Mac would also get walk on players who were not fully grown, or he wanted to develop at a position different than what they played in h.s., such as QB's into Free Safeties.
