Just swinging by to say hello after being gone awhile. Can't get over with how impressed I am with your defense (pretty sure there's not a single Oregon player who could start for you guys). That Mathieu kid is about as special as they come (you guys got a nack for developing out of this world #7s). Makes me feel a little better about the loss knowing this might be the best defense ever (possibly behind Miami in '01?). Anyways, wishing you guys well the rest of the season, especially against Bama. Should be one for the ages. Hats off to Les and your boys. The team truly does come together pretty incredibly in those 4 year cycles when the the NCG is in New Orleans.

Good luck to y'all also!

FWIW, behind the Tigers, the Ducks might be one of my favorite teams to watch. Love watching the offense do work (when the D allows it )

Major props! Great to see you post again. Hope we play the ducks again in the near future. Good luck the rest of the season.

True story. It's tough to get anything going when the DLine is capable of blowing up every rushing play and the CBs completely blanket the WRs. Not quite as fun watching the Ducks run the bubble screen every other play since nothing else was working at all. Some Ducks are saying how much they want a rematch. I sorta chuckle when they say our offense will be far more dynamic and fine tuned (which I'm sure it will be) but they also don't understand how much that LSU defense will continue to improve. Not saying I wouldn't want to see the Ducks get back to the title, but I just think it would be a similar result with less sloppy plays. The Ducks are improving across the OLine and developing their inexperienced WR core. Hopefully the season ends in winning a Rose Bowl. Way I see it, we already lost our national championship game; it just happened to be in week 1.

Props to the Ducks as well!! They are back to blowing up the scoreboard and running all over teams again. Good luck in conference play. It's a long season. We're working on that every 4 years gig again. We enjoy the want to play in NOLA. Lots of football left to play but I like our chances. Now that we have JJ back we should be even more of a complete and dangerous football team. Miles can sort out the psychological aspects of it all. NEXT!

Harris, maybe. I respect the effort that Oregon has put in, at first just to challenge the CA teams, and particularly Stanford and USC over the past approximately 20 years. I know it's tough recruiting up there, and keeping a quality coach hasn't exactly been easy.

Good luck the rest of thew way and make us look good.

Stick around the more sports board, you an NBA fan, or any other pro sport fan?

Great post. There's no doubt that your offense will continue to improve, but more than LSU's defense continuing to improve is how much their offense has already improved. A rematch would result in LSU throwing for a whole lot more than 98 yards.

Ya. I'm a Blazers fan. It's kind of a sad time to be an NBA fan at the moment tho. At least we have football. February and March could be some very lonely sports months if the lockout isn't resolved.
