Haha. Don't necessarily think we'll both make it undefeated and play in the MNC but I think we have the 2 best teams. They'll prolly just let Bama lose their division and jump us both tho to make the game

Realistically everyone on LSU's 2-deep chart in the secondary will play in the NFL. Ditto for Bama's starters in the secondary and their 2-deep at LBer (maybe an exception here and there).

Most of Bama and LSU's 2-deep on the DLine will likely get chances to play on Sundays - but to compare these teenagers and early 20somethings to the full-grown men of the NFL is a little indulgent.

What would happen if you fielded a team composed ONLY of the top 2 rounds of last year's draft? A team that would be young, inexperienced, energetic and maybe even competitive on the occasional Sunday for a couple of years, but otherwise would be getting the crap kicked out of them more weeks than not.

Linemen don't peak in college - they peak at 27 or 28. Linebackers peak at 30, as do most skill players, except maybe RBs. It is the rare non-running back that is ready to play even in the second or third year in the NFL.

I know. That's why I said in 5 years. Give the 22 year olds the chance to mature to 27 and the 19 years a chance to get to 24ish.

Just swinging by with a quick question for you guys. If you combined all the defensive players on the LSU and Alabama rosters, and made up the only defensive players on an NFL team's roster, where do you think they'd be ranked in total defense in 5 years? I know it's a crazy hypothetical but the amount of NFL talent on those teams is staggering. I'd say top 5 easy, what do you guys think?

Harris, maybe. I respect the effort that Oregon has put in, at first just to challenge the CA teams, and particularly Stanford and USC over the past approximately 20 years. I know it's tough recruiting up there, and keeping a quality coach hasn't exactly been easy.

Harris could have a shot but probably just be in the two deep rotation. I think Boyett could get some PT as well just not starting. Ya, it's tough with recruiting trying to sway all the top kids from SoCAL, who grew up big time USC fans, to come up to Oregon and play. Chip Kelly is a great coach who is pretty amazing at getting the most out of his kids which is the main thing we got going for us. That and Phil Knight I guess. Haha

True story. It's tough to get anything going when the DLine is capable of blowing up every rushing play and the CBs completely blanket the WRs. Not quite as fun watching the Ducks run the bubble screen every other play since nothing else was working at all. Some Ducks are saying how much they want a rematch. I sorta chuckle when they say our offense will be far more dynamic and fine tuned (which I'm sure it will be) but they also don't understand how much that LSU defense will continue to improve. Not saying I wouldn't want to see the Ducks get back to the title, but I just think it would be a similar result with less sloppy plays. The Ducks are improving across the OLine and developing their inexperienced WR core. Hopefully the season ends in winning a Rose Bowl. Way I see it, we already lost our national championship game; it just happened to be in week 1.

LSUs always been my SEC team since Saban came to LSU. I'll come back and give you guys dap on your big wins. My mom went to Tennessee. Root for them in the East and LSU in the West.
