Stop obsessing over the PMAC

There is nothing wrong with the PMAC that requires massive upgrades or replacement. If you were there the last two games or at any gymnastics meets in the past five years it is an incredible atmosphere. What do you want to change and why when you have sell out crowds roaring the Tigers on to victory?
Any of these " cool " changes to the configuration will result in 20 to 25% reduction in seating. WHY IN THE HELL DO WE WANT TO DO THAT?
Some of you are so damned spoiled. Just watch the game or the meet for two hours and enjoy the athletic competition and quit obsessing over all of this other shite.
There are schools which have these nice new square configured arenas with teams which cannot match LSU.
Do you really want to play in the River Center before half the current crowds for two years while a new arena is built?
Do you really think the gymnastics team would hold meets in the field house? Ask D D Breaux how that would impact recruiting. You want a Title IX case? Try making them compete in the Field House while othe rteams play in the River Center.
By the way the PMAC is not an extension of he Athletic Department and the athletic departmetn rents the facility for games and meets.
It would take millions to get the Ag Center ready and wouldn't we be the laugh of the basketball world.
We have nationally ranked basketball and gymnastics teams in a great environment. Enjoy them.

If Will Wade demands (or was promised) updates, then we should update.

Yeah, stop wanting progress because the time during construction would be hard!
Let's absolutely let short term discomfort impede long term progress!

the OP is correct. It's not about the arena - it's about the product on the floor.
We don't need a shiny new palace or massive remodels. Just win, and the place will be filled to the rafters.

The PMAC could be renovated in one basketball offseason. I don’t think Tennessee had to move any home games when they did their massive renovation. The seating area of the PMAC needs help. We have the media sitting in the stands. I’ve never seen that anywhere else. The seats are too far away. The court side seats are behind the old media desk. It’s awful

Did you just make this up?

You do understand that stadiums can be upgraded during off seasons right?

This is an LSU message board. We are suppose to talk about things like this. It’s why people keep coming back. The information flow is always constant. Not sure why this is hard to grasp. All things LSU, all the time. I enjoy it.

Just win

Are you really inferring that a better facility will somehow make our team less competitive?

Exactly why I did it this way so it wouldn't get buried on page 4. Why don't all of you obseesed for change for massive upgrades or a brand new arena explain what makes you so miserable for those two hours at the games.
I could care less where the media sits . Move them back to courtside if neecessary.

Agree - The Kansas Jayhawks play in in a Fieldhouse and love it!

No. You did it because you need your own attention, and didn't want to share it with others, in that other thread.

Why couldn't they just play at the PMAC and build on a different site? Isn't that how they did it for baseball?
