A lot of fans accepted that this team was the best before that was clear. We never solidified the 3rd pitcher even when nobody was worried.
When LSU lost Shores and Edwards, a LOT of people didn't see a problem. It took weeks and losses before they realized we had a big problem. A lot of people still assume Cruz is going to come around. And, they still have confidence in Dugas.
LSU fans has two big types of fans. The type who just assume everything is going to be great and then implode when it doesn't happen.
And, the type that implode at the first sign of imperfection.
There's a small contingent of logical fans as well.

Nope…I just like GOOD baseball. And right now, my favorite team in the world isn’t as good as they should be. For the 2nd straight year, we limp into the post-season with very limited pitching. JJ believes you can put-hit everyone. We need to work on getting a runner from 3rd with 1 out.

First of all link to your assumption about Johnson thinking you can put hit every one. 2nd we have had injuries to the pitching staff that hurt, he recruited multiple pitchers from the portal one has been lights outs some of them have pitched poorly. Blather on “coaching” the s just lazy. The PC from the Twins didn’t suddenly forget how to coach.
Oh and if you were actually paying attention lately, instead of just looking at the w/l, Hurd has pitched well his last few outings, as has Floyd , if that holds we have 3 solid starters not “limping” into the postseason
