No doubt they look better. I just to look at things a little differently. When dumbasses start popping off about the team being in contention for a possible NCAA bid or lock for NIT bid, they should step back and be more objective.

How awesome would it be if LSU can make a run in the SEC tourny, and get a NIT bid? We could host Stony Brook in a first round game. I think we could invite members of the Stony Brook baseball team to come down and be honored at halftime.

In contention for a NIT bid? Sure. A "lock"? No way. I think people just wanted to be excited, so they jumped the gun a bit on the NIT. Fact is, there's at least 3-4 SEC teams alone that will likely go the NIT over LSU. Couple that with the mid-major auto qualifiers (i.e. teams that won the reg season, but not the conf tournament), and the "at large" field gets even smaller.
