and you’re saying he should have thrown it even further out in front of him for God knows what to happen?
No. I’m saying it was a great play and a good throw by the QB.

I was really impressed with the behind the LOS camera shot when Nuss let it go, Anderson was just making his break. Plus Nuss was going the other way and essentially through that across his body.
I was in the south end zone seats behind Nuss. To say I was concerned when he let the ball go would be an understatement. It was a great throw with great anticipation. The perfect example of throw your receiver open, don’t wait for him to get open.
The knock on JD his first year here is he never made those throws. He learned to in his Heisman year. It is what separates the great QBs from the merely good QBs.

Yep, this game reminded me of that one a lot.

The WR was clearly open
He threw the ball before Anderson made the break. When he threw it, he was absolutely not “clearly open”.

the rec was completely covered up.
Disagree. Defender was a step behind and had his back completely turned with no way to locate the ball. Nuss saw it, Anderson knew it.
Great throw, but far from the "perfect throw" that posters are making it out to be. He had a massive window to fit that pass in.

I guess you could say it was an incredible throw considering Nuss was throwing off balance.

Anderson makes his break and has his head turned towards Nuss when the pass is thrown.

That's an NFL All Pro type of throw

I can see how this one happened. The throw I cannot figure out to this day is the Demetrius Byrd catch against Auburn....
