I heard he was coaching the OL when Stud was OC. Not sure how much truth there is to that. Could explain some of the problems we were having though.

He has been listed as lead recruiter. Hes the texas guy. Im sure he does more than help stud with the BBQ.

I like how people just ignore his resume...as if LSU was the only place that would hire him.

When has Ensminger ever been considered a good coach? He's a journeyman coach and he's the lowest paid on the staff for a reason.

Is this the same Ensminger that almost allowed Rasco to leave the state? He wasn't responsible for Smith, Henry was. Smith was actually leaning OOS before Henry came along and took over to change his mind.

I do not think it is any of our business what he does. He works for Miles and probably does what Miles tells him to do. If he was not performing I am sure Miles would let him go. I have no idea what all the coaches do day to day. He has one of the best Resumes on the Staff as far as experience in being an Offensive Coordinator and QB Coach. He has coached at Clemson, Texas A&M, Auburn, and LSU besides being a QB in College at LSU. I think you need to get off his case!!!

Thanks for clarifying Ensminger's role. I actually agree that he is likely the lightweight on the coaching staff, with probably his best coaching days in his rear view mirror, at a previous stop, not LSU.

I would hope after one year, Cameron will do some solid evaluations and maybe we can see some improvements over both Ensminger & Stud. Les would likely go along with it, since he seems to have placed a lot of faith in Cameron.

It is SOP on here, but I met him when he was at Tech and he seemed like a nice guy. Doesn't mean anything other than I probably know as much about him as the clowns on here always trying to run him off.....

I'm grateful he led us to a 28-21 victory over Ole Miss after trailing 21-0. Woodley did nothing that day. Mac finally let him throw.

I went to school with him(LSU,) was around him quite a bit. He's busted his arse since then to learn his craft, and IMO is pretty good at it. Probably will never get his props, but is at least now starting to earn a decent living at it. A lot of these experts on here don't realize what an investment of yourself and your family it takes to stick it out in that profession long enough to reap some reward. It's only been a few short years since the HC made all the money, and the rest of the staff would qualify for food stamps.

I'm sure this has come up many times but what is exactly does this guy bring to the coaching staff.

Ever heard of the phrase "mailing it in"?

Ask any of his former schools if they would like to have him back on their staff.

Guy was coaching high school until Les dug him out of mothballs.

Was at that game, had to clear out fast after the game for the bama miss st. crowd, as good an LSU finish to the game as you'll see.
