Let’s not forget that the playoffs were only 4 teams up until last year.

Mediocre = SEC teams that have NEVER made the playoff

Ole Miss
Texas A&M
Missouri
Vandy
Florida
Auburn
South Carolina
Arkansas
Kentucky
Mississippi State
OU (since they’ve been in SEC)

2018 is the only other year we would have made the 12 team format.

Ok, what are you trying to say?

That we've been a mediocre program for over a decade.

LSU being 1 of 21 teams to ever make the CFP is not mediocre.

Bama, Clemson, Ohio St, UGA making it 4+ times is elite. Just because LSU hasn’t been elite, doesn’t make them mediocre

Not many programs invest more than LSU does. If 1x in a decade is good in your book, then good for you. My opinion isnt changing.

The majority of the last 3 decades we have been average. Blame it on the bama dynasty or whatever you want, but average 3-4 losses a year is average in the modern football landscape

LSU was arguably the premier college football team beginning in 2003 and continued through 2011, possibly excepting Bama.

There has been a drop off with late era Miles/O (outside 2019) and Kelly.

However, to pretend we didn't have a decade where we were #1a or #1b with Bama is disingenuous.
