Ed Orgeron winning the NC established the power of the LSU job. No coach will say it publicly, but they all think Ed is a complete moron in terms of coaching ability. He proved it once the program FULLY became his own (i.e. when almost all of the Miles staff holdovers left and Ed started dictating the gameplay approach...particularly on defense). But they recognized that if that buffoon could win a title there, then any coach could as long as he could get the talent LSU has gotten over the last two decades.

I know the point of the show is to have competing views, but Orlovsky has absolutely nothing to go on. The idea that a guy from Mater Dei (a Catholic HS) might pick ND over LSU is supposed to be evidence that ND is a better job? All Stephen A had to say was that LSU has 3 titles with 3 different coaches since 2000 and Notre Dame has zero.

I tried to listen, but all that interrupting from both sides made it a chore. I'm so glad I don't watch those shows anymore.

Yep and apparently Orlavsky hasn't seen Everybody's All American.

He's got a very punch able face as well.

Poor no talent Dan is caught up in the pre color tv era. Notre Dame hasn't been on the level of the SEC in decades.

Uninformed "journalists" geez

Yes , dans argument is that ND job is light years better than lsu.

He goes on to say they been a top 5 team the last 5 years, with 2 playoff appearances... what he seems to forget is who turned them around from the charlie weiss dumpster fire of a program they were to a top 5 team... BRIAN KELLY, not the ND Brand.

I agree ND is a more national brand than LSU and is a Blue blood but in todays world, the here and now, its nowhere near the program LSU is.

Please stop with the Coach O’s a ‘moron’ narrative. He chose a career path that led to jobs at Miami, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Southern Cal, and LSU. By any measure, the man is tremendously successful.

When God created college defensive line coaches, he made Coach O and in God’s best South Lafourche accent growled ‘Geaux Tigers’

It isn't a narrative, it's a fact. Everybody knows O is a moron.

He has a good track record for recruiting. He has a good track record when it comes to coaching the defensive line.

He does not have a good track record when it comes to making smart decisions.

He says a lot of stupid things over and over. He makes a lot of questionable decisions over and over.

Coach O is not nor was he ever an intelligent man. He had a very successful 2018 and 2019 but that success ran out after Aranda, Brady, Joe Burrow, and a few others left.
