LSU is a lot of people's 2nd favorite team across the country, behind their own team. We've been successful enough to not be a flash in the pan team, but not successful enough to get a lot of hate/jealousy like the top 4-5 programs. Mix in some interesting characters in Les Miles, Coach O, the Saban drama, a lot of good NFL players, lots of exciting games with Florida, auburn,bama, tex a&m, cool uniforms and traditions, etc. and it makes LSU likeable.

Yesterday on the Colin Cowherd show he took back on what he said about Coach O in the past. Said he is doing what a head coach should do and let the coaches coach. Also had Reggie Bush on and Reggie said he came to USC because of O at that time. Said O was a hell of a recruiter, plus the condo in LA for his parents.

It seems everyone is high on LSU right now which I love, but it will pretty much come down to the Gump game once again.

Still a tall order. If we beat them, and go on to beat UF, UGA, or MIZZOU in the SECCG, they will try their best to give Bama a "do over" and let them slither and slime their way into the playoffs..

As for all the media hype, they are all bandwagoners. We are undefeated and have the Top Heisman hopeful, and I see Kirk Herbstreit(one of LSU biggest haters) starting to ride the LSU wagon. Don’t let that liar off the hook.
If you’re winning, people will jump on the bandwagon...we were not “America’s Football team” when we were in the Citrus Bowl back to back years.
I rather be the team that are truly fan supported by die-hards, than a bandwagon team because we haven’t suffered a loss. What happens when a team that has bandwagon support loses? Only the die-hards are left anyway.

You are new... But do you realize that there are people that hated the hire so much they go out of their way just looking for something negative to say about him??????? Even after the way this year has started there are people who are so called LSU fans still wont give him credit and are just waiting for some kind of failure..So they can jump all over it and say they were right.....

Lovable losers to Alabama who everyone hates with a ton of history and tradition, couple that with charismatic coaches and cool players and we are always darlings when things go well and it looks like we have a shot.
We were in Chicago the weekend of the Vandy game, had to ask around several bars to find the SEC network and every single bartender we talked to commented positively and wished LSU success.

Have faith. I think the offensive video game numbers will continue and LSU will win the SEC.
And if there are enough undefeated or one loss conference champions who don't have a bad loss on their resume, Bama will have a hard time getting a do over this year.
Dumb question: can Mizzou go to the SECCG, I thought they were banned this year for violations?
