Good post.

On this the entire season turns. Can JD5 understand a defense?

Travis has to have the edge going into the game. JD could flip that with a W and a solid performance.

They shouldn’t even be mentioned in the same sentence. Daniels runs circles around him in every aspect
This isnt even close to the truth lol. In last years game if you put Jordan Travis on LSU's team that first game and we wouldve won by 2-3 Tds. Hopefully Jayden is learning to trust the Wrs and looking past his first read before he decides to run.

Agreed but I think Daniels has a higher ceiling. Both are very talented.

I mean that’s the whole point of the stat. To be able to compare what different players with different amount of attempts are doing on average…
And you don’t think sustained performance is a thing?
You can’t extrapolate average rush yards. It ignores the realities.

I'm confident this will be Jayden's best year. He was really finding himself last year. Given the off-season to work with receivers and the OC, I predict a high level of play from him. Jayden will be tough to handle for Defenses with all the options he'll have from TEs to WRs. Not to mention some solid RBs and his feet. He runs so effortlessly away from defenders. I'm anxious to see him get going rhis year.

Sorry, I'm taking Jordan Travis. He had the highest PFF grade in all of P5 last year, had a better passer rating than Daniels AND as a runner a higher ypc including some absolute Houdini plays. Travis also had the best NCAA rating for passes over 20 yards in the air. And the dude is super slippery. Jayden Daniels is excellent, but he simply can't do some of the things in this video.
