Indeed, it was the toilet for Dr. Emmett Brown. Glad to see someone has a sense of humor. I think we're gonna need for the next few football seasons unfortunately.

feels like we've had that combo about 80% of the time for the last 15 or so years. gotta capitalize on it more often, and that goes back to coaching.

I spot an O supporter here. Let me guess, you have one of those, "Geaux Eeaux!" bumper stickers on your car?

Thank you for this positive post, which we haven't seen much of lately, thanks to the negative rantards who have occupied this space in the last few weeks.

Fact is, NO ONE on here knows how the 2018 season will play out. Till then...

Lol Jennings? Harris? Etling? Not much quality there.

Exactly, lot to be excited for. It is a ridiculously tough schedule though so the record might not be all that great dispute the team being really good.

But we going to be very talented team

Yep defense will be loaded. Could be our best O line in a very long time. And certainly appears that the QBs are a step up in class to what we’ve been used to the last several seasons

But yea the schedule is brutal. But at least the home schedule will be way more fun than this last season.

Jennings is probably the worst of the bunch from a talent standpoint. Harris had talent, I think he needed better coaching a probably a couple years as a redshirt/ backup to maximize it. even Jefferson and Lee despite their issues had talent.

as I said in my post, we need good coaching to capitalize on the talent on the roster. whether or not O and the assistants he chooses can provide that remains to be seen.

Our defense alone will keep us in every game next season.

DL
R. Lawrence
E. Alexander
B. Fehoko
T. Shelvin
G. Logan
N. Farrell
J. Thomas
Plus all the incoming freshmen like Hines, Cotton, Livingston Rosenthal, Jenkins.

Lot of depth in the front 7.

ILBers
D. White
T. Taylor
J. Phillips
P. Queen
M. Baskerville
D. Clark

OLBers
K. Chaisson
A. Anthony
M. Divinity
R. Thornton
S. Martin
J. Cherry
T. Moore
D. Scott

This is a lot of talent and depth to go with our DB's. I think Lacouture and Gilmore had great senior seasons, but I think we get better on the D-line. It's addition by subtraction I think Fehoko and Alexander will be much better along with an experienced Lawrence. At LBer, we know what D. White can do and T. Taylor gained valuable experience and played as well as a true freshman could. I'm ready to see a healthy A. Anthony. He could have a huge year like C. Thompson did if he can stay healthy. R. Thornton and M. Divinity are experienced now as well as K. Chaisson. I'm very excited to see this defense in action. Like I said I think they will keep us competitive in every game. As for the offense, it's still wait and see. Obviously we have the athletes to be good offensively, but Brennan will have to grow up fast.

Well... think of it this way...

1. We will be in year 1 of a "new" offensive system, no matter the OC

2. Those two QBs were recruited under one system, got limited experience under another, and now will be starting over under a third... and they didn't get much experience anyway.

3. RBs will be inexperienced

4. Inexperienced WRs will be in a new system

5. OL will have a better coach (IMO) and have significant experience.

So other than the OL, we're looking at less experience than the one's that took the field in 2017 all over the place under a new system for everybody. Following that logic, if we can replicate 2017 it will be a miracle.

You are correct. We need to position the NCAA to allow at least a half dozen OCs, and I'm not sure that would cover all the "can't miss candidates" we have been assured could take us to the championship. Without any of those guys we are doomed to the pits of despair.

I'm definitely looking forward to playing Miami on a neutral site and Georgia at home next season. If we fail then I will join the dark crowd.
I remember thinking, a year after Saban was hired, how we would stack up vs Oklahoma. A national championship seemed far fetched at the time. Hell it had been many years since we sniffed the SEC championship and Oklahoma was pretty stout. We got our chance and the rest is history.

Son son son.....look at the fricking schedule! We need a healthy supply of K-Y on hand cuz it might get ugly in a hurry.

These QBs you speak of are basically untested. Who is gonna run the ball for us? Our lines and the overall D may be good but way too many unanswered questions to make this kind of statement.

Defense is absolutely stacked. Everyone agrees with that. But I think you are making to much of the lack of experience at the skill positions.

Moreaux and Carter return who are both beasts. Giles is talented and experienced. Marshall is the most talented wr we have had coming out of high s chool since obj and Landry except he is even more talented than they were coming g out.of high school. CEH is explosive and powerful at rb, OL is super nasty
Only position to worry about is qb. But we are worring about Brennan and narcisse, not Harris and Jennings here. Whole different animal.

I also share the same excitement.

The defense will be very stellar and solid. Some elite corners a d with Surtain here it will be shut down city.

Offensively it will come down to who we hire as offensive coordinator and if coach Zer0 will get the frick out of the way a d allow the offense to run its course.

Of Brennan and Narcisse continue to improve and our skill players also, we could have a great season.
