Thank God we are going back to a 4-3 defensive, but we need the D linemen. We’re loaded at linebacker

That's a really experienced group and I think that factor is understated. We lose 4 to the NFL and graduation and backfill with Juniors and Seniors. Huge for the early games.

You left off BJ Ojulari OLB. I am sure wont start and might even redshirt but I expect him to be a main cog in coming years. He already is 6'3" 220 lbs.

Bo even said good things about Small. He’s got 3 years of college football under his belt I bet he emerges as a backup in some blowout games.

He will be a WDE according to Coach O back in spring.

Even with a 4-man front, I still think LSU will run a lot of 2-LB sets, so a lot of 4-2-5 and being able to be creative from there.

Long gone are the days of strictly a 4-3-4 defense, especially with the offenses LSU plays against.

That is how he is listed on 247 recruiting but he is listed as OLB on LSU 2020 Roster.

He stills going to be a DE in the 4-3 defense. Ed even said in one of his spring pressers that he is a perfect 4-3 defensive end

If Brooks can bulk up, he's a game wrecker.

As much as I’d like to see marcel brooks start I don’t see it happening. Baskerville has too much talent himself.

Baskerville is solid I think he’ll provide depth this year and play a lot like Clark did this past season. Brooks is too talented to keep off the field. He flashed last year as a true freshman on a team with now all it’s starting linebackers departing. Brooks can also play that Hybrid Safety role.

Is Jacoby definitely not going to be a LB? He seems like a better candidate than Brooks but I haven't kept up with anything official that Pelini has said.
