The problem with them is if you actually put any pressure on the seat back then you are crushing the knees of the person behind you because it leans too far back. I'm considerate, I've sat behind people that just lean all the way back and you have literally no leg room.

Luckily a couple of kids sit behind me so it's not a concern but the guys in front of me lean back so I'm forced to. Basically an airplane situation that I would prefer over the old cushioned chairbacks that had zero give.

Don’t order them. It’s optional.

Why did they spend money replacing the cushioned seat backs with less comfortable mesh seat backs? I hate them. End rant.

Is this what a “rant” counts as these days? A sentence followed by two statements?

What about the people in front of you that order them and lean back in your knees?

I can't imagine how uncomfortable they are for the average obese fan.

It ain't a lot of room for sure, but I don't like someone else partially in my seat, I usually don't have big fellas siting next to me but average size people fills the seats with some bleed over with the present seats.

Edit: with it being raised off the bleacher, it forces people to sit in THEIR seats. It's just the extra that bleeds over.

Do they still allow you to bring your own into the stadium? I remember having to haul 4 of those suckers to the game for my family. Felt like 30# farmers carry. My shoulders and grip were shot by the time we got back to the car.

They are fine for me - I'm so keyed up I rarely sit back anyway....and they define your seat space, before I got there someone always had an arse cheek spilling over into my seat and you'd think you'd have asked them to stab themselves in the eye if you suggested they slide over.

The worst thing for me is the guys in front have one to and if they are sitting back in them it makes it really hard for folks to pass to and fro in front of me.

We’ve had season tickets for years now but I don’t go to games much. Give them to friends/family. We sit in the S endzone and the seatbacks now are tiny and if the person in front of you leans back their seat is hitting you in the knees. It really made me not want to go to another game because we were so squished and uncomfortable.

LSU will be typically slow in adopting what is becoming a trend. Less seats, better experience. This is the only way that they will be able to keep fans from staying home and watching on the 80 inch.

We have 5 seats and get 1 on each end to prevent encroachment on our borders. Let one of the kids or wife sit in them usually and I just bring a seat cushion

Having those seats backs is a must for the bigger games where the stadium is actually full and fat people spill over into your spot. It saves your spot on the bleachers. Nothing worse than a big game where fat people take up too much room or people try to squeeze people without tickets onto the row with them.

Ours (sec 301) are still vinyl covered foam…and agree with poster above that seat cushions pretty much a necessity to have for the bigger games and the inevitable space creeping that happens because of buts widening over the years.

Agree with idea to decrease total number of seats and increase width of seats, go all chair backs except for student section and visitor section.

I purchased a purple and a gold stadium seat from Amazon a few years back. Love them. Have a cup holder and a small zipper pouch (perfect for a few Jim Beam bottles and a towel). I tried the seat backs they have now and they are garbage.
