That’s why I think Tennessee comes to mind d as loud as tiger stadium.
The second deck traps the noise in.

I've always wondered why there were never any secret ,hidden speakers under every seat in Tiger Stadium . They would be activated and get louder only when the LSU players waved their arms up and down.
This would make the entire stadium one giant speaker.

We just need some more of those colored lights to flick on and off. Flicking lights on and off gets the team fired up.

We are the loudest stadium in the country in the first half. From there we're good for one full game a season if it's a close game with a good opponent.

Yeah, let’s make folks start going into seizures at the game until everyone is puking and shitting themselves!
Dude, it’s a football game, not some sort of fricked up Nazi science experiment… ??
But I love the passion and the effort. In fact, I’ve been laughing so hard that I almost threw up just thinking about the description of it on Sports Center.
GEAUX TIGERS!!!

It would be cheaper to just pipe in more crowd noise from that obnoxiously loud sound system. It would sound better than 99% of the content that they pipe through it now.

The only way to make it louder now is to put a roof on top of it. It would be the loudest venue in the world.

yeah it is
i’ve you’ve even been to Ann Arbor, that’s a stadium NOT optimized to be loud.

We need less cell phone users and more people who have passion

I'm old but my hearing has been damaged by Tiger Stadium. Certain games reminded me of a rock concert as ears were ringing the next morning.

Tiger Stadium is virtually vertical on all four sides.
It's like a valley....a Death Valley.
It's already optimized to enhance the sound.
I'd be interested to see what the decibel meters say on a Saturday night in Baton Rouge, Knoxville and College Station.

Yes, the Valley of Death

Is Tiger stadium optimized for being loud?
Yes, it is optimized by placement. They built it in the place with the loudest (and probably most passionate) fans.

I know I have read articles dealing directly with college football stadiums, decibel levels and slopes of the stands. There is a sweet spot angle for the most sound amplification that tiger stadium happens to be about the closest too. Too shallow, and all the sound goes up and out, a la the big house (lets be honest though, those pansies don't know how to make noise anyway), and too steep actually has a muffling effect a la Neyland stadium. I could be wrong on this, not a sound engineer, but it made sense to me at the time.

No thank you- Kyle field is the most Asymmetrical stadium I’ve ever seen. It looks terrible on TV.
I was definitely not suggesting it should be done. I was just suggesting how it could be done. But I’m not on board with those types of changes. At least not right now. Something that drastic would probably be decades down the road, and only when the stadium needs it for safety concerns. It’s plenty loud enough and it’s iconic.

Is Tiger stadium optimized for being loud? Seems like the bottom of the Lower bowl could be steeper and closer to the sideline
Yes it is. The shape and steepness of the lower bowl are a big reason why it's so loud...
