lame....the more LSU does to "enhance" Tiger Stadium the more people dont show or leave early and crowd has never been less loud. Start with updating the bathrooms and concessions. All the bad dance club shite is for stadiums and fans that need help being relevant.

I have attended games at stadiums that have LED lights and while they are cool, I think that money could be better spent elsewhere. For example, our “jumbo trons” are too small to see from across the field and the bathrooms are terribly in need of an upgrade.

Of course, that quarter of a million dollars that we were fined for storming the field after Ole Miss would have gone a long way to remedy some of this stuff.

He probably is not. But the top tier players we are trying to recruit are.

Yeah, lights are going to make the difference to recruits during these NIL days.

Its a two-way street. Fans in the seats impact the atmosphere. I don't need a cool logjt show to get loud when my Tigers are on defense.

I would take a full stadium till the end of a game, over those lights.

Like 8&4 tonight. They stayed til the end.

incredible LEDs that make the stadium look incredible.

TS has the worst lights in the SEC and has for years.

Fans in the seats absolutely do impact the game. The fact you don’t need a cool light show to get loud is great. Unfortunately most tiger fans need more than we currently do in order to.

You, I, and a handful of others who are on a message board discussing this on a bye week obviously are all in. We have to give a reason for the other 100,000 to do the same.

These are not mutually exclusive things.

People come and stay for games for different reasons. The atmosphere inside the stadium for decades was literally built by the fans themselves. Now that the fans aren't coming, it's a catch 22. People aren't coming because the stadium isn't as electric, so people just watch it on TV.

People also don't come because the traffic/parking is terrible, the concession lines are long, and so on.

LED light shows in TS are fine with his old fart. But I want them primarily in PURPLE not bright gold! :-)

Also, fix the damned bathrooms and concessions first.

All these old heads in here complaining about led lights are just the old man yelling get off my lawn. I’m a man, I’m 40 and I can get behind upgrading our stuff to modern day sports.

You guys have to realize the people this is having the most effect on are the students and recruits. We are way behind in this stuff and we need to upgrade.
I’ve been in several stadiums where these are used with music and I can 100% guarantee you that it does get the crowd into it. Just go look at the videos I added, go Google or YouTube or TikTok these videos, the young crowd loves it.

The times are a changing and if we do not keep up it will have an effect.

It’s not going to be an extreme change, the benefit will be that the lights can go on and off instantly without waiting on the old school lights to warm up. Plus it works well with music so we can have someone put together some great shows and we have the social media staff capable of creating a great environment.

Very true. A better atmosphere would help with fan turnout and recruiting. College football is essentially an arms race for the best facilities, never want to fall behind.

LED lights are cool and everything and I would like having them, but how is Auburn's recruiting going (or their season)?

I mean, we have a 102,000+ seat stadium. It's the 8th biggest stadium in the entire world. We're not exactly playing in a total joke of a stadium.

So, help an old fart understand. We need blinking LED lights, turn off the lights during a break for a 90 second light show to improve the atmosphere? It might look cool for those 90 seconds but that’s not why I go to the game. Yes, we need better lights overall and other improvements but blinking lights aren’t it.

That’s the problem. And it’s not a ‘me’ problem, it’s a ‘they’ problem. I don’t mind the fancy lights. But needing that to get into the game makes zero sense. Those are supposed to be the icing on the cake, so to speak, not the reason they’re there.

The LED lights are badass. Did you see Tennessee’s entrance today? Darkened stadium with orange LED, power T lit up white, orange fireworks popping off around the stadium, sparkles etc. That gets players hyped up. Time to upgrade Woody.

It was badass. And to the people that say “oh it’s just a 20 second light show who cares”

1. Most of the other big SEC powers have stadium LEDs
2. Every clip of the stadium that you see after the game shows those LEDs. Like when tennessee ran through the T, that was awesome and will be shared (recruits will see it). Or when they beat Bama and the entire stadium was orange, that has been posted everywhere.

It's either the lights or an extra dose of Adderall for the children in the stands.
