Kelly spoke in a lot of detail about Daniels progress in his footwork change. He’s completely altering his game right now. I didn’t watch the presser, but Kelly commented on Daniels status several times throughout the game.

And I see FAR more people bias for Brennan on here than anyone else. And it is absolutely not close.

I don’t get the bias for one QB over another at this point. Lots of things can happen over the summer and in fall practice. I could care less who starts and I don’t see BK misevaluating talent like our 2 previous clown coaches. I also don’t think BK will hesitate to yank one of them if they aren’t getting the job done.

Since you missed the presser, his general review was "He's fast." During the game he commented on how he was struggling throwing the ball.

Well, Brennan is the better QB right now and had the better game yesterday. And it is absolutely not close.

It’s human nature. I don’t mind people having a favorite as long as they’re honest on things.

I also do not care who starts. I have been very vocal about praising Brennan for his effort this spring. He clearly came back on a mission and has impressed me. I had a lot of questions about him, but I think he’s an SEC starter.

But anyone saying he’s been told he’s the starter or he did not get outperformed by Nuss yesterday, I have no time for them. If you want to debate Daniels and Brennans performance yesterday? Fine. But Nuss performed the best yesterday.

Does that mean Nuss is now the declared qb1? No. But what we thought was a 2 qb battle is now a 3 qb battle. Brennans chances just got smaller. So he has to decide if he wants to continue battling two other guys or go somewhere he’s GUARANTEED to be THE guy. He doesn’t have the luxury of developing under Kelly. He absolutely has no choice but to display his talents this year. He has to be a qb1. You can’t say Brennan is at the bottom of the pack right now, but you also have seen nothing to make you believe he’s the best option right now. These are facts and reality. Not acknowledging them shows complete bias. And that’s fine, but just know it’s glaring.

But also, we have no idea what the communication is in the locker room. So there may be other factors. We don’t know. All we can do is comment on what’s presented. Nobody knows what’s on Kelly’s mind. Not even Quesadilla Superman.

what? He hasn’t even played the last couple of seasons. Again what are you basing this on other than passing drills, which everyone looks good doing? His TD pass was woefully under thrown and should have been picked. What is this night and day improvement you’re so excited about?

Sorry, I should have clarified.

Facts:

Brennan has to be a QB1 this year
It’s a 3 QB battle
Brennan has not displayed enough to say he’s the QB1
Brennan has one year of eligibility left
No starter has been named

...well, some of those are facts.

Brennan has to be a QB1 this year

Not a fact.

It’s a 3 QB battle

Not technically a fact, but I’ll let it slide.

quote:

Brennan has not displayed enough to say he’s the QB1

Not a fact. By definition, an opinion.

Fair

I suppose if Brennan doesn’t want to play in the nfl, some of them could be untrue.

How about instead of calling them facts we call them “truths”

Fair. I’ll restate.

Brennan has not shown enough for Kelly to name him the starter.

So my understanding of it is Nuss seems to be the best mix between Brennan and Daniels. But he lacks the dimes Brennan can drop and the speed that Daniels have. The race is just getting started boys

This has nothing to do with the LSU QB race, but I don’t see Myles as an NFL QB. He has the arm, but if he has to move from his spot in the pocket at all, he just looks awkward.

I do agree with that, for what it’s worth. The “fact” argument is just a pet peeve of mine. It’s petty I know.

I really hope whoever starts for us is NFL worthy. Not a requirement obviously, but it’s going to mean our offense is pretty mediocre. I mean, Danny Etling was nfl worthy.

From all the practice reports and spring game it should honestly be a 2 man race between Brennan and Nuss.
I didn’t like bringing in Daniels in the first place because of his lack of precision in the quick game and that hasn’t changed.
