Spring baseball stats through 6 scrimmages

First off, thanks to Scuba for his work in attending and scoring the scrimmages. These stats come from his reports. It is greatly appreciated.
The hitting stats are sorted by average and the pitching stats are sorted by IP. As stated in the fall, the WHIP stat includes HBP. That isn't the correct way that stat is supposed to be, but I like to do that for a better representation of base runners the pitchers allow.
Couple things to note. The K% is pretty high as a team but I think that shows how talented the pitching staff will be. Another thing is that Jared Jones is off to a really hot start in spring ball. Jobert is also hot starting out and both are in the mix for getting plenty DH starts. Nice to see Beloso hitting and showing some power. Dugas with a homer on his first weekend was also nice to see.

Thanks for posting these. Is there a reason for Skenes only getting two plate appearances?
Guidry looking overmatched. Hopefully just needs to adjust to college level pitching.

What's Pearson's deal?
Maybe when the lights come on for real he will get it going

Pearson is struggling. Didn't expect that. I would've thought Crews, Tre, and Pearson were all locks to start. Not sure if that's still the case with Pearson.

TYFYS. Only thing was I hoped to see improvement in Ty's command but 6 BB in 5 IP still scares me. We know he can really throw the FB but command has to improve.

It was reported that they have scouts attending the starts Skenes is having for these scrimmages. As soon as he is done pitching, most of them leave. Point being that even though he can hit at this level, the future is on the mound for him. Jay knows this and is protecting him from hurting his future by anything happening at the plate that isn't really necessary with the roster and options the will have at DH.

He isn't striking out much. May be a thing where he just isn't finding the grass right now. However, he didn't hit well in his summer assignment, fall, and now it is looking like he isn't starting the spring off getting the hits we are used to seeing from him. Time will tell with him, but Jobert and Kling will be pushing him hard. Maybe even Dugas eventually depending on the situation.

Shores is going to be an absolute beast.

I didn’t realize Neal had so many Ks.

Yea, which is a reason I'm on the wagon of Milazzo getting more time than a lot of people are thinking.
Neal does damage when he hits it. However, him and Milazzo aren't far off on OBP. Hard to get people to understand how the skill set offensively can be completely different but both be productive.

I don't want to read to much into these scrimmages but the BB with all the pitchers I hope won't be an issue and can be corrected. 58 BB in 89 innings.
Jared Jones seems like he has stud written all over him!

Welp Skenes aint batting this year then.

Hard to believe Money started out as the ace last year
At a minimum LSU has at least two quality starters in Skenes and Hurd which will make a ton of difference in the weekend pitching
If those two guys give you 6 on Fri and Sat you are set up to not overwork the bullpen and you will have plenty of options on Sunday

Yeah. A productive out at the bottom of the lineup is what Milazzo can provide a lot of the time. He was integral in two runs yesterday for his team. Not a bad day for him even with just one hit.

Floyd’s walks have been problematic, but his stuff is so good he does not give up a ton of hits either. With the guys brought in I honestly thought he might be a late inning guy
